Anonymous, 11 Jun 2017Nah.... Usual bb article... High in vote, but no one buy itWithin 3 months we'll start seeing the usual post-poor-sales discounts. Within 6 months the phone will be available at half its launch price. Within 12 months production of the phone will have ceased and no retailers or carriers will offer it.

My only question is, how many more times can BB double down on a design the market has flatly rejected for half-a-decade now? Must be nice to be John 'The Teflon Don' Chen.

This is not a TCL issue.

BlackBerry has insisted on this design language for three years. This was the last BlackBerry-designed phone, and prototypes go back as far as 2014. Screen lift is a fact of life with the last BlackBerries.

The all-touch DTEKs don't have this problem because they are not designed by BlacKBerry. They are designed by Alcatel.

This is what people are doing as a work-around:

Not very good for a $600 phone.

Mate, I have 3 KeyONE's and unless you're planning on bending it and chucking it on rocks then it's a solid handset and it's brilliant so such tests don't mean anything because a normal human being wouldn't be allowing his $600 handset to go through such bending and scratching lol

I just watched the durability and bend test of the KEYOne at JerryRigEverything. The result? .... not so good.

AnonD-473228, 11 Jun 2017but the screen will easily pop up... If they combine the design of the BlackBerry Priv and the specs of BlackBerry KEYOne I guess that will be a proper flagship of theirs

And because generally speaking, it is subjective, so it depends on the individual (how & for what you use it, mostly, etc). And so I definitely respect all those (the majority) who voted for the first one, "I plan on buying one." But as I said, although that, personally I prefer the touchscreen, and so I voted for the: "Touchscreen keyboards work just fine" (overall).

53% of the people which voted are buying one? I feel like this is more about hype than actual buying.

Well, just in a relative nutshell (sort of points). Most probably (& logically hopefully) yes it is better than before. And probably in ways it is even better than the on touchscreen one. Having said that, but for me personally, OVERALL, I prefer the on touchscreen one anyway.
