Look it up as SM-J700T1. I believe it is a 'stop-gap' or a bridge between the 2015 model and the 2016 models.
SM-J701T is a 2Gb RAM offering instead of 1.5 of the 2015 model. It offers also a 3000mAh battery, NFC and OS version 6.0.1 Marshmallow. Powered by Samsung EXYNOS7580 Octo-core @ 1.5 Ghz chipset. GPU chipset: ARM Mali-T720. Resolution @ 720x1280. Fingerprint - on samsung release key.
Lastly the Graphics API = OpenGL ES 3.1 ..... which I am excited to hear that it meets Nougat update requirement.

My wife got d new update, seems there is a bug, when you press settings, it takes a while to open up, that's frustrating, when she had lollipop, it was normaly fast, but with marshmallows it slowed, so what to do?

I have one of the j7's 2015 model and need to say it is pretty robust device. Camera is the weak point but in terms of battery life, user experience it is fab phone.

guys what is a J701, such a phone doesn't exist. the J7 2015 is known as J700. hope they havent confused it with the J7 2016 which is J710.

Google is also being lazy, providing only 2 year software support is not acceptable at all. They are a software giant for god sake.

By the way the reason why we choose apple because we know in times of trouble apple is always there to give support whenever there is a bug.

my main reason why I sold my galaxy note 3 because lack of os support.. and Samsung doesn't care in fixing so much bugs in lollipop .. .

And it's far more complicated to switch to a different OS on iOS. EAP showed how hard it took him to downgrade from iOS 10 to iOS 1.
