Original Samsung Galaxy J7 could be in line for a Nougat update

10 June 2017
The handset recently received a Wi-Fi certification, running the new software.

Although this certificate is strange.
Samsung has not released any Galaxy J7 with the SM-J701 numbering.
Could it be that the correct one was SM-J710 and, for some reason, it was spelled wrong?

[deleted post]im sorry for my unprofessional statement, I just hate people comparing android to IOS, they're OS's that we enjoy using, everyone of us have different likes and dislikes, some people like IOS some like androids, can we just unite and push companies to innovate for the greater good

Zoom, 11 Jun 2017Sony lost its charm since 2015I agree with you, that's why I stopped buying this brand after 2014.

It's a nice phone. It deserves to have Android Nougat. But it's probably the last Android version upgrade, because Samsung use to support their phones with those upgrades within 2 years. That's why, for example, my S5 from 2014 has "stopped" on Android Marshmallow from 2016.

How? By a root and custom ROM. Can you do the same for your iPhone?

You now have a File Manager? Wow, awesome! My 2011 Android also has one!
What's the point of a better single core when you have nothing to make use of it? And I'm sorry to tell you, but the XZ Premium already wrecks an iPhone 7 Plus. It even takes the 6x faster iPhone 7 Plus 256GB only to beat it by half a second or one.

And before you laugh and ask me if my Nexus 5 can run Android O (which can be done easily with a root and installing custom ROM, something your iPhone unfortunately can't do, AGAIN), tell me if your iPhone 4s runs smoothly and lag-free with no stutters on iOS 10. Oh wait, it doesn't. XD
