The console offers 6 teraflops of power. Design-wise, Microsoft says it's the "smallest console we’ve ever made."

Anonymous, 29 Jun 2017Team, I have a question please reply if you know the answe... moreYes :D

Most powerful console of this generation, for guys whoes writing about ps5, it is nonsense, nobody will release ps5 next year, Sony already released ps4 pro to compete with Xbox one x, so no more ps5 or new Xbox for at least 3 to 4 years

Okay, let's analyse this new console, what it offers? A little bit better graphics? 4K resolution? 60 FPS? That doesn't make a big difference, a good game will be good no matter the resolution or the FPS. I think the people are so so much demanding. I mean, i have a PS2 and i'm happy with it, i can't see the need of changing my console and i don't have the money to do it haha
Open your eyes, is a waste of money changing the console, the differences are very little.
      PS2 forevah!!!

I have always been a Ps fan but we have to admit that this is the most powerful console in the market (when it comes out) With the exclusives coming out , backward compatibility and the attractive online download for old and new games at $9.99 a month (downloadable not stream...) and yes the main reason why I did not like xbox since it does not come with a bluray drive ( I have tons of blu ray movies) now ot si better it has a 4k blu ray .. this is great!!! I may be inclined to buy this rather than the ps4 pro or ps5 .. for my next console upgrade. anyway I already have ps4 for KOF 13 (which is a ps4 exlusive)

This is good for Microsoft... Although, PS fans like me would like a thinner controller anyday. I'm guessing that Xbox fans love this big controller design...

Does running Blue Ray 4k did require a lot of processing? Probably the reason why PS4 pro couldn't do it. I could be wrong though.

I hope there's gameplay recording and sharing functions on this Xbox X. Funny name though. :D

The only thing I don't like about the new Xbox is the name. They should have named it the Xbox Two.

Yuri84, 13 Jun 2017'When you buy an Xbox ‘play anywhere’ title f... more"buying for PC, NO THANKS!"

Thats right.. i'd be one of the 'glowing' reviews on the Windows store

It is a brilliant game, but the PC version is probably the worst example of PC gaming software I have ever seen.

It is obviously kept that way so that the console version seems superior- at least from a reliability and playability point of view.

                    Hence why I won't support Microsoft platforms/products.

When games are made cross platform, or released on PS4 and PC, the PC version is usually great.

XBOX and PC, even when the product is made by a software giant like Microsoft (in this instance, Forza, being a first party studio software title), is made especially bad on PC.

                    Shame Microsoft, Shame

AnonD-367917, 12 Jun 2017YEs with this release Console generational lifetimes have t... more'When you buy an Xbox ‘play anywhere’ title for PC, you are buying the Xbox version'
This is very true but it seems (at least at the moment) 'play anywhere' titles are only available via e-tailers, retailers and windows store, only as a digital download. This means three things:
                      1. No steam super sale prices ($5 forza horizon 3? never).
                      2. Zero resale value (there's nothing to re-sell, you get no DVD and cannot transfer this purchase to anyone).
                      3. $60 price is the norm. And you can't get half of the price back by re-selling the game later.

A new $500 console looks like a greedy money grab to me. I'd rather upgrade my video card and leave Xbox in the dust, performance-wise. With my 200+ games in my Steam library (mostly AAA titles purchased at $5-10) I'll have a long time before I want new games, and by then they'll be sold at great discounts. And if I don't enjoy them I can return them!

I tried to find a reason to buy a console. I really did. Wanted to play Forza Horizon 3 badly. But in the end I decided not to bother. Buying a TV, console, controllers and games would be more expensive than buying a new video card (1080 ti) and a new monitor (about the same amount of money). Playing it on a PC in current sorry state? No, thanks. Windows Store is full of great reviews on the topic.

Anonymous, 12 Jun 2017Yes. The PS5. You can't play your PS4 games on it though. Umm why not?

They didn't have an easy time with backwards compatibility for PS3 games on PS4.
This is due to the PS3 using Cell architecture.
PS4 being standard x86 will be a cinch to run on another x86 box.

Hence why XBone has an easy time with X360 titles (same architecture).

Both companies when setting out to build the present generation said they would use off the shelf parts going forward, to reduce design costs, and come to market cheaper and faster.

It worked, both newer platforms recouping their costs within the first year. (not something that had happened previously)

Sony, in their console division, have some consumer loyalty going on here.
Dumping present platforms and reducing generational life just makes consumers cautious.

They took a lot of flak from uneducated types for launching the PS Pro.

Vita was the best handheld. I still use mine (Darkest Dungeon/Dragons Crown/Persona 4)
I even hook a PS TV up to my 21:9 monitor to play Horizon Zero Dawn in Ultrawidescreen

always a PS fan, their console solid as ever (except for Vita i wonder why ?), and games are way more polish and exciting than Xbox's.
Until now (since the dawn of xbox) microsoft can't seem to shake that lame weak games tag they have associated with Xbox.
Have a PS1, PS3, and PSP but skipped PS4 and now calmly awaiting the PS5
