The next few years, companies won't try to slim the bezels, but try to slim the camera and earpiece cutout. (at first glance the same, but still pretty different)

As for that display shape, actually it's almost the same shape as the tempered glass screen protectors for Samsung Galaxy phones. I have one on my S5. Of course it covers more than just the display, stretches all the way to the top of the phone.

MdN8, 13 Jun 2017First, thank you for the compliments and the ad hominem att... moreEssential's phone already has that front design in their top bezel, I bet a lot of people will overlook that fact. It's gonna be the same argument all over again, who came first, apple or htc(metal phone controversy). In my opinion, I don't give a rats ass! All these innovations are so,so minor, nothing groundbreaking in years. I'm tired of all these patent suing ,gee god , form factor innovations, that may save you, like 1/2 sec.. The future for new ideas is ai anyway.

I wonder if Apple has a patent for that front screen, looks like Andy rubin's new company, essential, beat them to that design. Essential's phone is released now. So it won't be a apple first.

The iPhone 5s/SE still has the best iPhone design of all-time. Just not a fan of glass backs since similar to sex, I don't use protection! I only use a holster case but no cases when I am holding it.

S7 edge just feels sticky icky after awhile. Will never get a glass-rear phone ever again. I like my G5 and V20 better. The Pixel has a weird half glass top but it grows on you and doesn't get in the way. Pixel feels good in the hand like an iPhone 7 would while keeping the headphone jack.

I already have my dream team of phones. None of this new stuff I'm seeing is interesting.

The front panel design especially the upper part is a really funny design. IDK but I'm rolling here. Like seriously???

OMG that's a nightmare.. Steve Jobs would never allow a design like that... they should just have a tiny bezel across the top not just in the top middle like that.. it's so ugly.

So it actually correlates with the worst possible rumors.

I feared that this will happen. These horrible design choices, the pricing, the size, the lack of anything that would make me want to buy it. Apple has really dropped the ball.
What they need is the new lead management and some frsh blood in their gigantic design departments. or iOS-based products will stop being the main dish in the market.

Fingerprint scanner under Apple logo on back, camera in level with rest of the back without bump, and this "things " on top of the screen used for notifications and info (like LG's extra screen) and I can see this being bestseller.

Ironically, the panel was PROVIDED by Samsung. It's not really "innovation"...but it's still something :/
