The Windows Phone Mango update will be known as WP 7.5

26 April, 2011
We've just got confirmation that the next major update to the Windows Phone mobile OS will bring its own version number. Obviously Microsoft thought that the update, codenamed Mango, brings enough...

cant wait to get rid of my samsung omnia 7 for a galaxy s 2.

i actually hate windows phone 7.

it lacks so much that everyone else has to offer it just makes me dispise the fact that this is why i never pay for a microsoft product. thank god i have a ps3.

WP7 offerings:

no dlna,
no multitasking,
no wireless hotspot support,
no copy and paste,
no support for hidden wireless networks,
absolutely hurrendous applications,
no USB mass storage support,
no external memory,
very mediocre and tedious UI after just 6 months of use,
temperamental internet,
dropping of signal,
no yellow option in the theme,
vibrating keys under lock,
no address bar entry in landscape mode in IE (wtf?)
search key still works WHILST videoing?! (WTF??)
no bluetooth file transfers,
no renaming file options,
no file manager,
no folder options in gallery,
stupid search functionality in the marketplace,
the list goes on...

somebody tell me why i own a windows phone?

because it is a hurrendously poor, featureless operating system.
thank god the phone is one of the best looking on the market. ;)

well come long awaited version, equipped with multi taks, flash animation support on wall. i will prefer to go with Microsoft instead of google andriod which relly on third party goodies and free market applications. i hope that Microsoft & Nokia will keep it within the range of low budget holders.

Microsoft can not make OS for phones, but the hardware in phones with fast dualcores and dedicated gpu will soon enable Microsoft to simply use the computerversion of Windows 7 in their phones.
