So is it that they don't store any location information? Or is it that this information is only stored on the local iTunes? Which is it?

"the information is only stored on local iTunes backup files", so the data is actually stored and saved in Apples iTunes backup files and even if it is "only" on the local iTunes backup file it is still possible for anyone to access that information! Apple should not store/save ANY location data and the location based services do not need to know where the user have been but only where the user is right now, so Apple should not store/save ANY data at all, anywhere! IPhone-users should all sue Apple!

Anyone expecting apple to jack up the prices of their products by a few hundred bucks after this is all sorted out?
