CPU evolve too quickly. Camera megapixels evolve too quickly. Camera sensors evolve too quickly. Screens (LCD - LED - AMOLED - Super...) evolve too quickly.
And the battery... doesn't evolve at all!

I want a 2.5 GHz Quad. I cant wait for the SGS 3, Atrix 2, Xperia X14, and LG Optimus 4D just to play Angry Birds on them.

Agreed, this is getting out of hand in a good way, long term wise, they should stop making or slow down the production of chips once a mobile device is capitable of running like a high end laptop hopefully in the next 2 to 3 years down the road or invest in that new concept chip idea that gets upgraded, creating less space in a land fill
