You can get the new Coral Blue (or any other color) S8 for 538 Euros in Europe. So it's basically the same price as the OnePlus 5 that costs 499 for the base version or 559 for the 128GB version...
You get: a much better screen (with no jello effect); better and more reliable camera; a much more compact body with a similar screen area; better warranty; better resale value; imo a more versatile software pack; a much better design, Exynos 8895 instead of SD 835, a pair of top notch headphones... All that for an extra 39 Euros.

you can see now the oneplus5 with half the price of S8, has completely out performed the S8 in speed and ram management test, even when matching the screen resolutions.
I know the SD on the oneplus5 is 0.1ghz higher than the S8, also the S8 has some animations but that doesn't justify the huge difference in performance considering their prices, even though the S8 is considered as a luxurious phone over the Oneplus

I said the S8 is the slowest smartphone with sd835 among the the other flagships that uses sd835, your link is about the Exynos 8895 version of the phone and the IPhone 7 which I didn't mention or mean them !!!!!

S8 has a lot of flaws but there's no denying that at the moment of release, it is the best (android) flagship.

so the sd835 is no longer an advantage, then we can conclude that the S8 has only the design advantage over the S7, a design which isn't perfect and has its own disadvantages like the weird aspect ratio of the screen and the bad location of the fingerprint scanner, all of that doesn't justify (for me) all the huge numbers of the pre-orders for the S8, and the sales right now

I think sales are comparable or slightly better than S7 during its initial run in other parts of the world. As for your comment on the s7, i think the s8 gives an impression of a better upgrade to s7 than s7 is to s6. S7 is just an spec improved s6 with the return of micro sd and water resistance. S8 unsurprisingly has the standard yearly improvement of any flagships (minus camera and ram unfortunately), but it features a few marketing buzz that is generating more customers: tiny bezels, longer screen, first smartphone with sd835, etc

1st, the recall of the faulty note7 devices last year, proved to the customers that they are very important to the company, and the company always want them satisfied
2nd, Samsung is getting bigger everyday, and might reach apple as a big trademark for smartphones, and the design of the s8 is an expression for that
the two factors combined might be the reason for the success of the S8

IOS was very late to the party introducing third-party keyboards to supplement Apples own far from perfect offering, yet the common consensus is these are not up to their Android counterparts.

I can't understand how its breaking all the records like that, is it all because of the looks of the phone ??
in comparison, the S8 was slowest in the speed test among all other flagships this year except the G6 which was using an old cpu!! the oneplus5 is gaining high interest, the XZP also made a huge impact, but that results are totally different
and while the S7 made a greater impact last year and was deservedly crowned as the best smartphone in 2016, it didn't make half of the sales for the same period !!

Of course, they dont really understand why all phones dont get them, at least the flagship ones that is. Fragmentation at its finest sadly.

It may be the best selling phone but it ain't the best phone for me
