What? Did I miss something here? ....wasn't the conversation about the camera and improvements? All of a sudden that statement comes flying in ..... sounds like a very triggered Iphone fanboy who couldn't talk back to the fact that you don't need OIS to have an awesome camera; the pixel proved that ....
Just to make sure I'm not labelled a OP fanboy myself; I am very disappointed in the OP5 with all its hype, I would invest my money in a better smart phone like the S8/S8+ and maybe even the LG G6/ upcoming V30. However, OP5 is the second cheapest smartphone (1st = Mi6) you can get that has the lastest specs and less compromises than other phones at or below its price point ($479).

For the best result, OIS and EIS needs to work together which is available on some smartphones. However, they mostly work up to 1080p. Currently, Apple iPhone has the best video stabilization at 2160p and no other phones come close it.

If you've ever had OIS and see EIS, EIS is stupid. I would never buy an EIS only device after using OIS S7.

It was expected of them. That's the advantage of having only one model at a time. Continued software support and best possible hardware optimisation. Expecting my OP5 to be delivered tomorrow.
