              Canon is alive because it's still popular among users and their many lens and accessories products ... otherwise if you want great performance, neat optics and modern features go for Sony Alpha and for great budget options Nikon or Panasonic four thirds cameras.

                  Too little, too late. Canon is losing ground to Sony, fast. All they have going for are the existing lenses and existing user-base. Other than that, Canon is toast, unless they start shipping better sensors and stop crimping their hardware with intentionally limited fimrware (no 4K, when the innards can do it).
