Pleasure to read this! Kudos! (However, why didn't you mention the birth of "big and bigger" iPhones? ^^;)

Interesting article about the apple past, they definitely set gold mine with app store and iTunes well played to foresee a potential. After that when you get some much income it is easy to find other potential gold mining services like "pay", same happen with iPhone and once you set standard for, loads or watches it is easy to make it once you have name and money. Diablo 2 part was nice thing too :)

Despite having problems like video recording etc iPhone was much popular than android G1 specially due to different UI and still camera. Windows and blackberry smartphones were at the peak also symbin but could not stood against Google n apple.

It's already ten years. Well, happy birthday iPhone. I'm android user, but let's remember there probably would not be android if there was no iPhone in the first place. I remember times when it was a new thing and everyone wanted it, including me with my old flip phone, hah'. It is also probably one of the reasons why I started following tech in general, so yeah, it will be interesting to see what will happen in the future.

For the editors (or anyone), I would like to know more about how rampant jailbreaking forced Apple to reconsider its take on web apps over native ones.

"Apple has an uncanny ability to create markets."
Referring to high quality mobile photography? Are you serious? Phones like the Nokia N80 were taking high quality photos before the first iPhone came out, I still have the pictures I took with mine.
