Pepa, 06 Jul 2017Pureview 808 is best cameraphone. Not was. Still unmatched.... moreI second that.. I am still using my Nokia 808 as my main device because I love to take pictures and there is no other phones to this day can match the quality of the pictures produced by Nokia 808.. Not even the latest flagship with phase detect, OIS, EIS, HDR, B/W sensor etc none can beat the mighty 1/1.12" 41MP Toshiba sensor with 5 element Zeiss lens, built in ND filter and Xenon flash!! All of that is processed by a dedicated image processor that can process the 41 megapixel in a fraction of a second despite having a single core 1.3Ghz and 512MB.. (Nokia 1020 with dual core 1.5Ghz krait and 2GB ram took 5 seconds for 1 picture!! Heck even SD835 can't handle 41MP - SD835 only can handle up to 30MP) Only those who have experienced the pureview quality will understand and will never go back to ordinary cameraphones..

OH. MY. GOD.
Nokia and Zeiss are back together. That's the best thing i've seen so far this year.
Like, you cant even imagine how good news this is.
I grew up with Nokia phones. Even those with 5MP cameras took incredible photos and had an almost full manual mode and a lot of post processing options like sharpness, contrast, saturation, etc.
I cant wait for a new 41MP phone.
The camera quality of all smartphones today is really good, but the resolution is atrocious. 12MP is not even remotelly enough for me.
I still hold onto my HTC One M9 because, although the poor performance in low light, it shines in regular lighting conditions or when using the flash and because the resolution is so good. It gets so many details in the photos. (After applying some mods from XDA)

Pureview 808 is best cameraphone. Not was. Still unmatched. Maybe only Panasonic DCM CM-1, which used totally different approach could match it.

PureView I dont think so coz read somewhere.. HMD Global official said they didn't request PureView Patent license from Nokia and current Nokia phone just a name + several Nokia patent only.

Brilliant. It just keeps getting better. Good things take time and it is exciting. Even the 6 had the tough build so the balls are lining up for a true solid device, great specs and hopefully a stunning design with the right accents. Technology on imaging is pretty setting new bars this past two years with Google and HTC. I'm just going to wait for the Nokia flagship. I think there is an extra skip in my step today. woo hoo

Now they (Nokia) can make a splash in the market, which is already crowded with many-many smartphones......
Nokia.....With Android 7.x (probably 8.x or O)....Rear dual cameras....SD 835 (or above)....6 GB or 8 GB RAM
What else can you ask for....Come on Nokia.....just do it !!!!!
