It's coming this year.
Nokia 6 was launched in China in January
3, 5 & 6 were announced at MWC 2017 (Feb 26) with a promise of Q2(which is passed)
but the phones did indeed launched many places and running for others all well.
even then it'll be 4-6 months(since the announcement) and not 2-3 years.
Though you should consider that starting again on a global level isn't going to happen in a snap and from now onwards the future phones will probably me available in the market sooner because all the retailer distribution and stuff would be sorted which at the time of 3, 5 & 6 would've probably been one problem.

That was a fake News
There was a deal between Nokia & Xiaomi, not for the chipset but rather AR, VR, etc
Also, Nokia gave access to some patent to use for Xiaomi and probably some help for the access to enter into Europe Market.

I do want a 1/1.5" sensor, but not with 41mp resolution.
Damn it, Sony's a9 mirrorless only has 24.2mp LMAO.
Dream device
-1/1.5" sensor, Sony's 5-axis EIS (Balanced Optical SteadyShot)
-16mp resolution
-f1.4 lens
-2um pixel size
-a good 2-3x lossless zoom
And I'm gonna be sold, given the processing will be as natural and not as ridiculous.

Awesome! Finally! Sensors have improved a lot since the 808 but we need this partnership to happen as Nokia truly knows how to post process their images. Google Pixel is almost the only phone that has a natural and realistic image quality but their software lacks manual mode and OIS, sadly, so ISO is pushed so high in each image.
Hopefully Nokia can release something very soon, and hopefully they give us the option of a 4.7 to 5 inch device.

Definitely a good news, not just for old and new Nokia fans, but for the general technology and in this case, mobile photography, etc. It seems almost absolutely sure that this year we'll see a very healthy competition in the camera department (& everything else too) mostly dual camera setups, between all the best brands and more: Note 8, V30, Pixels, iPhones, Nokia 9, Mate 10- Leica and much more. Who knows which camera (dual setups) will finally be the really best of all??? Exciting.
