AnonD-521587, 13 Jul 2017it has thin bezels. See some pictures of the aquos and then speak. Sharp was the first. Then they somewhat gave up on it due to the tech not being viable at that time. Xiaomi revived and refined it. Then everyone else (Lg, Samsung, Sony and apple) went crazy.
I'm keeping my fingers crossed for next iteration of the Mi Mix. Should make the note 8 look like crap (not that the note 8 needs any more troubles, the current leaks already shows a fugly design).

Yes, the image looks very similar to the one of Andy Rubin's Essential PH-1. With that being said, really looking forward for the 2 (or more?) Sharp's bezelless models.

Just go to Sharp Mobiles available in GSMArena and see how many months ago Sharp started making bezel-less or minimal-bezel phones, when these Samsung, LG, HTC, Apple etc didn't know this art.

The article says one of the phones will be powered by the snapdragon 830. I haven't heard any announcement related to a chipset by Qualcomm with that name. Could you please clarify.

Maybe Sharp provided the Essential's display, but that picture is really similar to the Essential teaser.
