Was it the first time that a phone went on the peak of Everest? I cannot comment on that, but anyways its a feat by itself. Congratulations !. On the other hand i fail to understand the point !
I am a big Samsung Fan, the feat has been completed and Good Luck !

Hey..I could afford this overpriced beast but unable to afford iPhone4.. just like how iPhone lover look on me =( I chose android rather than iPhone cuz I can't afford iPhone4..buahaha ;D so,I'm not wealthy guy but phone is just cost couple hundred euros/pounds/dollars is really not a big deal for me..it's not like asking you change your properties or vehicle XD so what's the problem? it's just depend on how you judge on it, worth or not worth for you to spend the money ;P

                Well over prised?
galaxy 2 costs in finland 599 euro (and from an operator about 460 euro) its not much when you get specs like on G2.
most "smart" nokias cost the same and you get an working phone for 6months.
and for galaxy 1 she support is good, just downloaded and installed the new fixed ginderbread.
check the software from this threat, posted by me:
                http://www.gsmarena.com/samsung_galaxy_s_gets_gingerbread_as_promised-news-2526.php
I foud the new gingerbread a lot faster to use and bug free...for now enyway.

South Korean tech titan Samsung has decided to hype up its newest flagship Android smartphone some more so it announced that, by the end of April, there have been 3 million pre-orders made for it. The Galaxy S II is thus on the right path to become a best-seller like its predecessor.

After reading all the comments, I must say this:
                          1. the grammar some of you use is atrocious, but this could be because English is not your first/fluent language. Still, it annoys me to read it.
                          2. No other company has thought of taking their phone up Mt. Everest, so give Samsung credit for being creative and having an interesting idea, as they have been doing other novel things (i.e. extreme unboxings and short commercials about the Galaxy S II). What's the purpose in bringing up Nokia? To prove other phones can do it too? Yea, we all know other phones can, Samsung was just the first.
                          3. I love GSMarena and check the website at least 5 times a day, their reviews are so thurough and detailed, so I am looking forward to their review on this device (please hurry!). :)
                          4. This last point is calling out the user who said, "Such an useless news!" (...) Do you know how bad that sounds? If you're going to say something negative, at least make sure you're saying it right. You should have said, "This is useless news" or at least taken the "an" out. Other than that, I love Samsung and if you felt this was useless, why did you proceed to read the article? Thought so.

Won't be able to do that on the iphone 4 - I hear the extreme cold weather is not good the mostly glass mobile and "cough, cough" antenna problems
