Will be too big to carry around. Un practical for daily usage. I would rather go for a good 3G compact phone and a compact laptop or capable UMPC.

Seems like and excellent mobile device...however, should have phone capabilities to make it a complete mobile guru!

the brand is HTC, the Shift UMPC is what it is currently being called. I think this is a very good blend between full flege laptop/pda/cellphone. This is definately on my wish list!

The future seems a bit more clear with these kinda products in the market.

Nice, but 800x480 resolution is not good enough. Should have at least 1024x600.

I agree with most of people here: Battery life plays very important role actually most important role currently. I think windows mobile operating system is very good because it does almost everything as pc but it gives good battery life, other thing is what about GPS receiver? I assume it isn't there in it, If its the case then HTC is not better than OQO 02 which is a similar machine but with an integrated GPS receiver. Any comment on it guys? Thanks Email me at khurram41@yahoo.com

Yes, powerful OS without powerful processor is useless (Kenny's comment correct) He just hides his main point in lots of text.

I think we do not need very powerful processor since battery life is more important (these days) than high performance - get a tablet if you need CPU power.

I think even with PDA processor the battery life is still too low:
I would like to see units with 4-5 hours.

Today, especially with the 5-7" screen you get a couple of hours if you lucky: you can not watch video, or use it as a GPS unit for any decent time.

By the way, When did we (customers) allow Microsoft to market (sell) buggy softwares for years for full price in a hope that in a couple of years they fix the bugs and it will be usable. The meanwhile they take the working OS out of the market so you can not get a decent unit (notebook) with all the drivers.
(Vista drivers - notebook: webcam, sound etc. may be different than XP) Sorry, I know this is not a PC forum.
