Not sure if I have understood this whole thing.
Apple and Intel do not mind paying royalties as long they pay how much both believe is right price.
Which is much less Qualcomm wants...
If I have a tecnology I have the rught to charge as much as I want.
Apple does that.
Apple sells no more than 65% devices of Samsung but earns 700% more...
Isn't overcharging too?

AnonD-411799, 21 Jul 2017wow. are appple prices fair & resonable.? dont they ove... moreIt's not illegal to overcharge for your product. Unless you have a monopoly on the market for something. Apple does not, they sell computer and phones and so do hundreds of other companies.

Sad this has happened. I did business with Qualcomm about 15 years ago, and they were great to deal with. All said, Intel do pretty much own the desktop, so currently, the status quo is fair. I did own a lovely Motorola RAZR phone that was one of the few based on Intel hardware and it's was pretty good. They should get into mobile to encourage competition and improve the battery life of CPUs and GPUs else Q will get complacent. Currently, phone batteries last the same amount of time, if not less, than 5-6 years ago.

Hypocracy coming from intel... Did they forgot the fact that held MONOPOLY on the PC CPU market until the Ryzen launch? Pathetic.
