Good to know that they still give security updates for galaxy note 4. But I won't sacrifice how my phone performs now over that update. And to the person that says he haven't heard of someone wearing/bringing two batteries with him/her look further no more. We're not yet exticnt.

What about an update for Samsung Galaxy S4 devices? It must also be upgrade to latest Android OS with security patches. Samsung must consider it!

Same as with transitioning from a small to a large-screened phone. But yeah, it still rrmains to be seen.

AnonD-418798, 22 Jul 2017I will never agree that.. Note 4/note edge battery broke ... moreThe Note 4 is a legendary phone. The biggest mistake I made was updating to Marshmallow which is heavier and takes longer to boot. Also battery lasted longer and overall Note 4 was wrecked by the upgrade still the show must go on and so now I have crappies marshmallow. Planned obsolescence.

Honestly though. if it was possible. I'd gladly switch the chipset from the 805/5433 inside the n4 and put in 835/8895. I have it as secondary and it's SIMPLY PERFECT!

Security updates should be delivered OTA too, not just for note 4 & 5. What about Note 3? Other Android users are exposed to security risks? Samsung need their heads read. Trying to force users to upgrade to a new phone instead of a new Android version is abuse of their customer base. As a Samsung customer, I too have choices who to buy my next phone from and it won't be Samsung!

I have had Notes 2,3,4,5 and now moved to LG V20 with the best audio, 3 cameras, dual display and best of all, I have 3 batteries :). Popping in a fresh battery is fast and painless. I miss the S-pen but will only get the Note 8 if it has removable batteries - unlikely, I know.
