Ruwin, 13 May 2011Oh, and btw, you cannot compare Apple iPhone with any other... moreIf you knew even a little bit about how corporates work, you probably wouldn't have made the mistake of posting such uneducated comment on how a phone is developed. It's not as simple as one big team of engineers working on one phone or one big team working on many phones.
You should notice that iPhones were never top of the line in terms of hardware. They do provide quite pleasant user experience for average person, but it's mainly how much they are spending on advertising that is the determining factor for success of iPhones.

Oh, and btw, you cannot compare Apple iPhone with any other phone model, and that's because Apple makes only one phone, and produces 2 just 2 phones in the same time. So they are focusing on one target only. Samsung, LG, HTC, Nokia, etc., they make hundreds of phones. Imagine one big engineering team focusing on one device, and another team like the first one focusing on 25 devices. Who gets better results faster?
I am sure if any other company would build only one phone, it will get the same results (or better) like Apple does.

Chill, mates! I currently have LG Optimus One, hardcore modded, and is feels double faster than my friends SGS II in day to day use (except HD gaming). Even with it's low freq 600Mhz core (actually overclocked at 800Mhz). Overclocking doesn't eat a lot more battery. Most times you won't even feel it. Cell standby it what drains your juice. Anyway, the hardware is important as long as you have serious sw optimisation. Without home made roms and mods, any stock phone feels... well, just a phone.

why this phone is not in U.S market yet???
Come on samsung, advertise this phone. Why you wanna wait till Apple comes with a bigger screen phone which will set the bar and then samsung has to follow it???? what kind of marketing strategy is this?

sami, 12 May 2011i got confused with this news. is it about each core speed ... more "is it that each core runs at 1.5GHz or its total speed is 1.5GHz"
Actually both are correct. The processor has 2 cores wherein each core runs at 1.5 Ghz. But that DOES NOT mean you can add speed of both the cores together and say 1.5 + 1.5 = 3.0 GHz (Which is wrong).
They are frequencies. Just imagine the (two) cores as TWO superfast cars running at 100 mph. So can you add 100 + 100 mph and say that the overall speed of both the cars are 200mph ?? No you can't. Same goes here.
