If it has a dual camera, it must be ugly because China brand don't know how to design an aesthetic looks. If it is about the UI, please use for more years and you will know Sony Xperia UI is still lightweight and very stable but China brands often get lag and there are not need to compare with those complicated UI. If you are talking about the features, start it now and wait how many years China brand can use camera capture and scanning a 3D image? How many years China brand can get Predictive Capture? How many years China brand can record 960fps super slow motion video? Just waiting yourself..

The bezel is sturdy made, with the bezel the drop impact was reduced and you can also nipping the bezel with your thumb and first finger to take selfie, if you using a bezelless smartphone to take selfie you have to grip the whole phone and it will shortened the capture field and about the drop impact to the bezelless smartphone is stronger than with bezel one.

FYI the competitors made the smartphone even lighter weights than Sony, therefore the lighter weights already shown the lousy quality because they use less and lower quality materials to build the structure of the phone.
FYI the Xperia XZ have the aluminium alloy back cover and front with Gorilla Glass 4, the XZ1 should be the same or even better.

So much duplicate/useless softwares that cannot be removed nor stopped without rooting. And rooting this pos would cause some actual useful feature to break.
And Sony having bloatwares also does not justify the existence of bloatwares in Samsung phones.

They have sub-par (= non-existent) after-sales services in here and as you will need that often with your Sony, it's not a reasonable purchase - or be prepared with some other brands backup-phone for actual durability. :-)
