AnonD-234645, 01 Aug 2017Samsung, if you'll use the SD835. use the full speed. >_... moreIt's people like you who ruined the chipset market. It annoys me beyond all other ways how people's lack of understanding of technology and judging things by unsustained benchmarks, as if it was a desktop computer. 2.45 ghz is completely off the perf/watt curve for the 835. As a matter of fact, for any mobile chip made on the 10nm process. You are sacrificing ~30% battery power and making the CPU throttle after a minute or two for a what, 10-15% clock speed increase? Which doesn't even scale with IPC gains as it's also off the MHz/perf curve.

I wish reviewers educated people on those things, and maybe we'll go back to having balanced chipset, otherwise soon we'll be packing i7s in our phones, with a two second sustained perf and a 20 minute battery life.

Anonymous, 01 Aug 2017Why not 6GB ram? Let's see how it will compete with current... moreHmm. Strange. Past rumors said it will be 6gb ram by default. 8gb ram for a premium version. Whatever works for Samsung I guess. More interested in S9 now. It look even more promising with 100% screen to body ratio and embedded fingerprint sensor. Maybe im being too delusional Samsung could pull it offs. But, hey there also that Galaxy X rumors. My expectation is getting higher and higher Samsung. Dont you dare ruined it.

Anonymous, 01 Aug 2017Why not 6GB ram? Let's see how it will compete with current... moreYou would hope it will have 6gb of ram. It will need a big come back draw in plus it's gonna be expensive.
It sucks that 4k and the better larger camera sensor will probably be held off until the S9.
And the better camera might not make it to these flaga hips just because of thinness.

So especially to make up for the Note 7 at least or 6gb of ram for crying out loud

              S pen functionality????

I dont think we needed to read that as we wouldnt expect anything but to have an S pen.

Cant wait for a hands on.... my note 2 is not problematic or what not but just outdated..... then again it still can punch above its class.

Using the same super slim screen as s8?
                        no point to wait then

That's exactly what it'll look like in person, with those stupid white lights going up and down the edges. Screw curve screens
