Well, it's silly to pay this sort of money for this sort of phone. However, if one can afford it, why not? ;)

well i have used sirocco silver for over 8 months. let me tell you i never bought it i got it as a gift do you guys know why do people buy a zippo lighter knowing it sucks why not a 1$ plastic lighter finally you have to light up a cigrett lol so the same goes here but i tell you one advice buy a diamond rather than a phone 1000 is a big money for a phone you better learn it suits you and how to carry it lol at first think are you that type of person that you have a million euro in you bank then buy it you live once lol if not then buy the silver or black but onething i want to make sure it has a class of its own so it cant be compared is that clear...

i have used 8800 silver, and currently use 8800 sirocco (black). they both work better with the batteries that come with 8800 sirocco (black) edition. i do charge my phone every night but they do last me the whole day with half the battery charge left at the end of the day. the only improvement that should have been included in the new gold edition is a flash camera since 2mp camera is useless without it. we all know that n95 n 8800 series are marketed towards different ppl. one is for tech heads and the other is for ppl that like a status phone. so the new gold edition should only be compared with the previous 8800 models to see whether the improvements are worth the extra cost. i think the colour is quite out there and may not grab as much market share as the black or silver one.

of course... buying a real gold ring on your hand is better then buy a gold phone grab on your hand and depreciated....plus.. 2hrs and 30 mins talk time w/ these kind of features...... not worth it to buy this phone. I previouly owned silver 8800, with 2hrs and 45 mins talk time, still cannot acceptable... now.. for this one..... rediculous....I think Nokia needs to think about how to make a good battery life before they invest money on 5.0MP camera on Nokia N95

Anthony and Henk who commented below are 100% RIGHT. If they like something y not pay more. Maybe they don't need a lot of features like n95, E90, n80...It looks VERY nice it has a good camera and the size is good too..I also have a black sirocco and the only thing im not satisfied with is the battery life. Eveything else is perfect.

This phone is nice, i like the design. But i would get Nokia N95 instead. People that think that this phone is over prcied are right, but they should know that this phone was made for rich business man. And everything in the world is like that. Cars, clothes, phones, and more. People buy name brand clothes just because of the name for a lot of money..Its just the way things are...Nokia still knows that people WILL 100% buy it this phone for this price..
