And the first one to get it, was whichever Nexus came out that year, your beloved sh*tsung had nothing to do with it.

Removing the headphone jack is a sure way to even reduce further the number of potential pixel phone buyers. The original pixel sold less than 1 million. These successors will likely sell even less than the original pixels unless they offer something in exchange for the missing headphone jack like sd card support, dual sim support, bigger 4000mAh battery, ir blaster, FM radio, slimport support. However, knowing how Google likes to copy Apple's crippled iPhones, I'm not optimistic about even just one of those features materializing.

Wtf why are people removing audio jack for no reason,I mean yeah the only one I remember is umm... Not carrying some battery in headphones due to USB c power delivery and that's it,and also selling more lightning accesories

Smartphones are becoming worse everyday, first unremovable battery (i can live with that but its a bad idea), then dual sim use hybrid slot instead of separate slot for sd card, then no 3.5 mm jack, what\s next? No volume keys? You will need an adapter to use camera?

Then there's the fact that even more wireless radios sending and receiving data discharges your battery even quicker and interferes with each other even more. But I guess, you geniuses, already took that into account, didn't you?

If Note8 had a Google Play Edition, that would easily be the best smartphone of this year. Samsung Pay is a big deal to me though because I rarely carry cash anymore and only use my ATM card. It's an app but the Pixel will lack MST.
Might as well wait what HMD will offer with the Nokia 8 and 9.

But alas, we have to choose. I carry two phones anyway - my S7 edge for T-Mo and Pixel for Verizon. S7e is for tethering. The Pixel is for voice calls and better coverage. Eventually, I will choose to be with Verizon exclusively because T-Mobile coverage is spotty like AT&T and Sprint in my area where I drive to.
And which Android won't be molested by Verizon? Pixel. Their 4G phones also come unlocked which saves the time and trouble compared to the other three networks. I have owned many phones and have been on all major networks - Verizon + Pure Android is the best combination for Americans.
My only real minor glitch with my Pixel is occasionally in typing, it will lag on a dialog box like this one or for a YouTube comment. The best to type on for me is on the G5 and V20. The G5 is probably the smoothest of them all in typing. V20's 5.7" is where I make the least mistakes using SwiftKey at its largest size.
Too bad the Pixel 2 won't have a 5" model. The dimensions of the S7 edge, S8, G5, and G6 is about as far I would go in size. That's tolerable enough. Anything larger and heavier gets annoying.

Do not like the removal of the headphone jack, but they can save it by putting wireless great quality bluetooth headphones in the box!!!

As a user of Moto z I can say that near stock/stock Android is great, super fast and easy to use BUT I really miss the headphone jack. So I'm looking for cheap Bluetooth earphones now and that's shit. Always go 3,5 guys

from previous renders and what we can ascertain here, both the Pixel 2 HTC, Pixel XL LG and the Nokia are going to be beautiful. Hope a red pixel comes true
