There is no way note 8 deserves that price tag. I mean it still have 6 gb ram, less battery than s8+, same screen
Only dual back camera is plus to s8+
Samsung should bring note 8 with 8 gb ram, 4k screen and more battery than s8+ then they can justify that price tag

AnonD-689124, 02 Aug 2017Hopefully no one in their right mind will pay for a 999 for... moreWhy do you worry so much about pricing? Look at the Galaxy S8. It is already 30% off after just 3 months on the market. If you think 999€ is too much (I would agree) then wait a few months and pricing will be fine.

What I miss in phones today is 2 day battery. GSM artificial battery test doesn't give us information such us: how fast it drains with screen on or while playing 3d game. I'd love a phone with qhd that eats 10% per hr of heavy gaming. Note 8 looks like a great successor to my LG V20 ifnwe could get Asian ds model for 500/600 euro. But with Sammy one never knows if they get faulty model. That's why I love Huawei, reliable.

                Only 3300 mAh?

Don't support the stupid trend of 18.5:9!!

                    3300 mAh? Only? Why? Why?
Scared to get bombed like Note 7?

The Active variant can accommodate 4000 mAh Battery with the same innards... then why cant the regular flagship? One will always fine with some extra bulk...

Gsmarena continues to dream about the 4K display for Note8. Updated and ready on their product page. And yet for the new iPhone, they've just pasted the iphone 7 specifications.

AnonD-236087, 02 Aug 2017Where is the 4k display?Would you even want 4K with that battery capacity?

I actually like the design of the Note8. This is technically the Note7 since Samsung skipped #6 which cursed the Note7 last year into the fires of hell.

Like I said previously, I would only get the Note8 for two reasons. Samsung Pay and 3x optical zoom. Samsung Pay is awesome. Much better than Apple Pay and Android Pay thanks to MST.

But knowing what Verizon and T-Mobile will do with their own boot animation and bloat, I need to stick to Pixel for now on even if the Pixel 2 will remove headphone jack.

Verizon = best network where I live, albeit expensive

Pixel = only Android phones not molested by carriers, fastest updates, smoothest UI experience

There are alot of things I don't like about the Pixels. The Pixel 2 won't have dual lens. No external storage. Design is meh. No removable battery, IR blaster, and FM radio. Perhaps no water-resistance. But as just a phone to get the job done, it excels better than a BlackBerry KEYOne would.

No phone or OS is perfect. Just accept the flaws and enjoy their strengths. If they can marry Samsung's hardware strengths and Google's software strengths, we would have closer to the most perfect Android smartphone ever.

Hopefully no one in their right mind will pay for a 999 for S8+ with a bigger screen, 2 cameras , 2 GB ram more and a stylus.

Hmm I hope the LG V30 will have 6 gb of RAM. Otherwise sadly no competition except for the ridculous pricing.
