ZTE's $40 Maven 2 gets Android 7.1.1 before the Galaxy S8

The device has started receiving the update that bumps the OS version to 6.0 Marshmallow to 7.1.1 Nougat.

Trump Fan 1980, 03 Aug 2017 Is it just me, or do some companies not care about having ... moreLatest version always comes out every few months. Who have the time for that.Nougat alone have 4 updates version which includes 7.0, 7.1, 7.1.1, 7.1.2 & next week 8.0. Manufacturer have a lot of time in their hand to tweak new version every few months dont they? -_- As if they got nothing better to do in their life. And customers too. Why would we care to update our phone android version every few months? Such a hassle to do so.

    Is it just me, or do some companies not care about having the latest Android version on their products?

      If anyone with this phone updates to 7.1.1 your phone is going to be useless because at that point you will not have any storage

        biggest phone company that rather pay for somebody else patents rather than being innovative.
        my first smartphone ever was zte vivacity and until now id say it was better thanmy old s3...

          Of course ZTE got there before Samsung, the UI lags on the S8 required a lot of work. Don't tell me the lags wasn't deliberate. ;)

            Forget 7.1.1 its useless just work on 8.0

                disappointed in samsung. currently they are rolling out the android 7.1 update to galaxy s7/ galaxy s7 edge, and not android 7.1.1. lmao my xperia xz have android 7.1.1

                  My 2 years old Mi 4c get Android 7 and miui 8 stable and skipped Android 6 completely. Not to mention to planned upgrade to miui 9 Android 7.

                    samsung phones will get maybe one Andoid version update and then it's the end of the line or maybe you get android 8 with your GS6 when andoid 11 is available lol
