I have gone through various camera phone's but I found that Lenovo's pictures are much better than xiaomi. So it is better to buy Lenovo instead of xiaomi.

xXENDER FREAKXx, 06 Aug 2017Why does XIAOMI downgrade the chipset from SNAPDRAGON 650 t... moreTrue.

Back in 2015, if you compared two processors that had an identical total processing power, I would've told you the processor with the less threads would be more efficient.
Example: (win) 28nm Quadcore Cortex A17 vs
                          (lose) 28nm Octacore Cortex A7
(lose) 28nm Quadcore Cortex A57 and Quadcore A53

                          Example2: (win) 20nm Dualcore A72--Dualcore A53 vs
                          (lose) 20nm Octacore A53
                          (lose) 20nm Quadcore A72-Dualcore fast-A53-Dualcore slow-A53

However, the LATEST Cortex A53 cores are much more refined than the OLD Cortex A53 cores. They can clock much higher and maintain that clockspeed. And their IPC seems to have been boosted to the levels of Qualcomm's old Krait-400. So the latest Octacore Cortex A53's on the latest 14-10nm nodes on a hardware level are much more powerful than the old Quadcore Cortex A53's on the old 28nm node.

And on top of that, Android has become much more efficient in 2017 as compared to 2015 when utilising the extra cores and threads. So what it amounts to, is that the QSD 625 is much closer to the QSD 650 in performance than what it used to be. If we had the QSD 650 chipset back in 2015, it would've been seen as the successor to the QSD 805 and the QSD 625 would be a weak performer. Now? They aren't equal, but much closer than before.

This is why the QSD 820 was PERFECT. It arrived in a period where big.LITTLE and many threads weren't very optimised in Android nor in Apps. So it didn't waste efficiency there. Thanks to many tweaks in 2016-2017 AOSP project by Google (thanks Pixel), the QSD 821 chips perform well.... and now the QuadA72*-QuadA53* chips in the QSD 835 perform better than planned, though there's still a lot more to do in terms of optimisation.

So yes, the Mi Max is better than the Max2 in that it is lighter, smaller, faster, etc.
The only upgrade they've done is to switch out the OmniVision OV16880 camera to a Sony IMX386.

The bump in battery capacity from the already huge 4,900mAh to 5,300mAh isn't much of an upgrade. But if you like to call it so, feel free.

You get what you paid for. I have bought many Xiaomi stuff and none of them disappointed me. Quality is a bit on the down side, so you have to read a lot of reviews before buying one. The only thing that makes me to turn away from Xiaomi phone is MIUI and its potential privacy issue. Even some phones can be flashed with LineageOS, I would not send sensitive stuff with Xiaomi, read the disclaimer when you setup the phone, you will be surprised how much information will be sent out.

Great! Now I'll never have to remember my age!!! Now if you'll excuse me, I'm out to burn my now useless birth certificate. Farewell!

Why does XIAOMI downgrade the chipset from SNAPDRAGON 650 to SNAPDRAGON 625 AGAIN? They done it to the NOTE 3 & NOTE 4. Why? I know SNAPDRAGON 625 boasts great battery life, but SNAPDRAGON 650 have better performance and just a minor drop in battery life. So in the end is downgrading worth it?
