So my point still stands.

2160p@60fps is great, 05 Aug 2017Can't wait for the 4K@60fps. However, I would also like 8 M... more*mp on the back would be too low a resolution. And While in theory an 8mp sensor could have much larger pixels and be far superior in low light they would not give you that bright an aperture or make the pixels that big to make up for the resolution drop.

Can't wait for the 4K@60fps. However, I would also like 8 MP front and rear cameras. Lower resolution cameras can be made to cope with lower light conditions better than higher resolution cameras.

But to a i5 doesnt give a fair or direct comparison.

Mine got slow and very limited with what I could do on it in terms of apps. Didn't have that many apps on it, perhaps two home pages but anything more would start to crash it. Saying that I still miss some aspects of Note in my iPhone. To me a perfect phone would be a Note with iOS. Can't see Apple including a stylus with any of their phones anytime soon though... All the shortcomings aside, for what I need from the phone I would pick iOS over Android any day having experienced both.

7.7, 04 Aug 2017Unless Apple switches to HEVC 4K at 60fps is going to be re... moreTHAT's their "strategy" in marketing iphones for year, mate...
Apple WON'T add HEVC codec for video recording, instead add more storage versions, like 320GB iphone 8, to milk their isheep for good.
Next year, they will add better heatsink design for iphone 9, & equipped it with better GPU that could handle 4K @60fps recording with ease.
next, they will add HEVC code for iphone 10 and ALL metal back cover for better heat dissipation, as well as better chassis, and introduced new CPU, claimed to be "on-par" with desktop-class CPU.
and so on, and so on for the next decade...
It's ALWAYS FUN to see isheep defend & justify EVERY MOVE made by Apple when they are actually getting milked out of their hard-earned money EVERY YEAR by Apple.
not to mention iOS is a REALLY impractical, backward OS that can't even do basic things without 3rd party app that's out-of-the-box feature in Android OS stock. That's why most people who switched from Android to iOS revert back to Android, and iOS user who switched to Android NEVER LOOKED BACK or missed iOS.

Anonymous, 04 Aug 201760FPS is better than higher resolution in my opinion. The p... moreI actually think too that 4K@30 is useless too. It's not like people have 4K phones and 4K tablets and 4K TVs (UHD displays are still relatively rare and people still buy 1080p TVs) and 4K monitors for PC. 1080p@60 is already more useful, we can even risk and say 1440p is useful since it's a popular mid-high end resolution.
You're just not going to enjoy 4K, but you'll enjoy shortage of storage

4K @ 60 fps is awesome. I hope at least now Apple will provide the option to change the resolution through the Camera app rather than the settings app.

Unless Apple switches to HEVC 4K at 60fps is going to be really impractical, you'd probably only get a few minutes of recording before your phone runs out of storage

AnonD-558092, 04 Aug 2017Improve it? They just enabled 4K recording @60fps. Nothing ... more60FPS is better than higher resolution in my opinion. The previous guy was right though, when 4K came to android devices, taking up tons of storage space, it was seen to be a great thing, Apple behind again. But when Apple want to introduce 60FPS using a highly compressed codec for less storage space, its time to say its pointless. 4K 30FPS was pointless when it launched, barely any displays to play it back on, most people share to facebook and the like, I would rather record in 1080p 60fps than 4K 30fps. This could be a good move from Apple. Offer the choice at least
