I love the Sony xperia shape , whenever I pick it up it feels like you get a chocolate bar in your hand , love it . Beside there is a milion followers whe love that sony timeless phone shape

Great to see the rear camera moved to the centre width as contrary to the previous corner mounting were many many times I took importent photos were my finger hiding part of the camera lens and ruin my photo . Secoundly importent finger print to the rear is easier with both hands especially left handed . I wish power button will move from side centre were it make the structure weaker.

this was shaping up to be such a good phone but taking away the fingerprint sensor in the power button makes this less attractive. what do you do when you are driving and you phone is in a dock? pull over ans take you phone out of the dock just to unlock it? just so you can change the track?
it will be the same kind of annoying when you are using it flat on a desk as well

AnonD-405203, 09 Aug 2017I think Sony surrendered putting the side mounted fingerpri... moreIf I recall GSMArena's previous article on probably why Sony was never allowed to have FPS on phones in the US, it said there that they are prohibited by the contract with the unknown wireless carrier to distribute Xperia branded smartphones with working fingerprint scanners until the contract expires (which was suggested to be in 2018). So putting the FPS probably may not cange the situation.

if this design is true, then bye bye sony. fingerprint on the back will make xperia phones look like the other current phones out there in the market. the side mounted finger-print sensor made sony phones unique. Sony, no no no!!!!

i'm an xperia fan, but this leaked photo looks like a phone of the past. huge bezels on top and bottom of a rectangular design is not looking attractive (in 2017)!

I think Sony really want to prove that "being trendy doesn't mean you will success".
I'm a Sony Fan but i hate being bias so i say that this phone is so ugly.... It looks like the 1st generation SonyXperia had s3x with the LatestGen Xperias :3
I think it's Xperia XL had s3x with Xperia XA1...

As for 'Sales figures will only determine how the manufacturer will try to sell this product' well that's a bit of a silly statement really when you think about it. After all, the general goals for any manufacturer when selling their products are: 'as much as possible' and 'the more the better'.
Or are we to wish Sony success with the XZ1, just not too much success, eh????
Yes Samsung will make more S8's than oneplus will make of the OP5 because their sales expectations are comparatively higher. That doesn't suggest though that OnePlus are not hoping to sell all the OP5's they can, and will thus make more if the demand is present.
Sony's strategy will be exactly the same.

XZ1 and XZ1c look exactly like XZ. Power as FPS.
Just midrange has FPS on the back
