Ok, I loved my z3c untill the touch screen stopped working, I've always loved Sony, even though Im currently using a s7 (a beast of a phone), I still consider switching to a newer version of Sony but after seeing this, dear God help us all. Hope this shit doesnt turn into reallity, dont know why they dont listen to their customers.

I wish they introduced something new instead of their rivals, wide screen, dual camera,... They just bring that year or 2 later. May then wonder why they are in red. I was expecting some improvement, leaks show no such thing.

I think Sony surrendered putting the side mounted fingerprint sensor because of patent issues. Also i think they cant issue a new design on the upcoming XZ1 (like bezel-less design, dual camera etc.) because they are still struggling. Maybe next year they will. Also, i dont like the new fingerprint sensor placement (less originality) but at least they can now put them on its mid-range lineup because it avoids the patent thing. Well this is my opinion. High hopes in the future of Sony.

The fingerprint scanner moved on the back?! NONONONO... Side mounted scanner is one of Xperias unique icon, a perfect place where your thumb land. Ah well its got to be Apples fault for patented embedded scanner in the power button. But looks like a mid-range phone, Xperia flagship should have laser sensor just like the XZs.

So much fake if it is XZ1 or XZ1 C.. since there is no laser autofocus....maybe it is X1 or fake

Is that really a new xperia? The wallpaper still the same tho while every Sony phone usually comes up with new wallpaper and why do they censor it? And the rear fps? It looks fake to me

30%of front facia phone gone in top and bottom huge bezel, same bar type old fashioned design, expecting sony to bring something new and unique. learn from sharp and Essential brand screens.

Sony's been getting tons more of critique than appraisal, even though they are doing really really good.
Sales figures will only determine how the manufacturer will try to sell this product, because if the OnePlus 3 and 3T of last year are the best of the best in terms of value proposition last year, Idk how it didn't even beat the S7 Edge's sales.
Same for the G6, which is one of the most beautiful phones this year yet is way behind the S8's sales.

The first two photos are the mid ranger, and it has the reader at the back in order to accommodate the thin side bezels, and let's not argue about how the same reader is placed on the S8 and S8+, shall we?
The third photo is probably the XZ1 Compact, and if you really look closely, you'll see some cut which indicates the reader to be on where it is found on all Xperias with fingerprint scanner.
Same is through for the last one, the main flagship XZ1.
Close inspection helps improve one's sight of life.

My current phone right now has 69% STB Ratio, and I was able to try a working legit Galaxy S8 and S8+, and the two latters look beautiful, but I don't see myself hating the design of my phone just after seeing the small bezel devices.
My sister gets the same reaction, and she owns an LG G4.
The problem is not the design, but the people and their preference.

THAT DESIGN WAS DISAPPOINTING! I expect a borderless design!!!!!!!!!!! Hahahahah! I hope xzc would be borderless! Please sony make one!!!!!!!
