Nokia's WP7 phones to use U8500 dual-core 1.2GHz chipsets?

20 May, 2011
The CEO of ST-Ericsson got chatty in front of Forbes and said that Nokia’s Windows Phone 7 will be powered by their U8500 dual-core CPU and its successors will go on to power Windows Phone 8 phones too...

Nokia N8 is a balanced smartphone. The features it has are just right for it. What it doesn't have is not needed like 1GHz CPU and full HD video recording. Too much has been said about Symbian not needing a GHz CPU. And full HD on an nHD screen is too much.

Yes, I have tried them in numerous occasions and they are decent devices, but definitely not top devices. I'm invest too. I can clearly see why Nokia was only able to sell 4 million N8s and Samsung was able to sell 10 million Galaxy S.

By the way, I never said Nokia sucks. I only disagree with people who say Nokia is absolute best in the market. Clearly they are not.

                  Nature of the brand...? wtf?

It's taking too long because it's no longer their priority right now but Windows Phone. Anyway, Symbian is no longer cater for new users but to satisfy current users since Nokia already declared its EoL. But what's certain is the Qt UI update will surely come.

You see, discussions like this increase comments on Nokia pages. Most comments are not praising Nokia. People like you attract more haters to antagonize Nokia because you don't use logic to praise Nokia or bash other platform/manufacturers. In fact, most people aren't even hating on Nokia, they are simply disagreeing with your nonsense.

[deleted post]Wait for the Qt-based UI to be released on Symbian^3 and you will realize Symbian doesn't need a gigahertz CPU, let alone, dual core. The current Symbian UI is not fully touch optimised yet. Qt will make Symbian a lot faster, nicer, and overall better in user experience.
