Screen seemingly intact looked closer and there were 2 dead pixels. Nothing major but it was driving me mad. Went shopping thought i could try the apple store and the great service everyone says apple provides. My phone was 19 months old and was damaged by my mistake. They told me that my phone was still under warranty due to a european law (i live in the uk). They told me to come back in an hour. They have replaced my phone with a new one and transferred all my data and settings throught icloud. I was stunned! I mean this is the best service possible.

THe myth that anything Apple "just works" was debunked long ago. WIth well over a 50% failure rate it is more "it just fails" is more true. Apple stores are not something you can pop down and get things fixed for most people, they are too far away. Customer service for many is awful too, every excuse in the book is used to not repair a product, it will never be Apples fault. Some people near Apple stores have good experiences, some many had to pay yet again for Apple Care to get the service they do, while most ANdroid users get that for free.

I was excited to see the new S8. I remember a few months back two students were talking about getting one, along with the promos it came with(GearVR, earbuds). The moment I saw the phone, I was disappointed. The button was gone, which I enjoyed the look of the Samsung phones. The screen was also dim, although that's probably because they were watching TV shows in class.

Not surprised one bit, Apple smartphones just works and its uniform across the different models. Also their customer service is first class. If your phone needs service hop down to any Apple Store in the world and be out within in an hour or so with a fix phone or a whole new one under warranty.

If situation is already this, you know it won't get better anymore? Carriers and retailers won't order more because they can't even sell what they already have, thats why there's a lot of discounts for S8.
I can't admit that S8 is selling well because all the proofs are against it.

It's a very boring phone to use... battery is mediocre at best. And the 679 pounds I spent I was very glad to see come back to my bank account...utter rubbish as a high end phone goes... No fast charging...I think some people are taken in far too much with the logo. Back on my Huawei PO and not leaving it till Apple bring out something original and better.

Android has been around for the same amount of time. If people are STILL buying iPhones now, it means there must be something Apple is doing right. Yes they have amazing marketing but the devices themselves are outstanding on every level. You cannot look at the spec sheet and draw conclusions. The iPhone is a fantastic device on every level. Deal with it.

Didnt the S8 release late April,............................. like the last week........................ that gives the I phone 3-4 weeks extra sales over the s8. If you estimate sales the Samsung phones sold as much or more over a full quarter.

I had the opportunity to get the iPhone 7 many times. There were BOGO deals and discounts. I said nah. While it will be the last to have a metal back because the 7s will go glass, it still lacked a headphone jack. For iOS, pretty content with my iPhone SE. Looks better, last to have headphone jack, home button, and I believe iOS is meant for small screens. I usually have three rows of apps similar to the old days. 4x3.
Best Android for me are the Pixels and Nokia 8. The Nokia 8 has the advantage because microSD slot while having unlimited photo storage like the Pixel. It has headphone jack that Pixel 2 will lack. It is the perfect 5.3" for texting and no on-screen buttons to take up keyboard space.
I would rather have the iPhone 6s over 7 and not because of price. 7 lost headphone jack forever, matte black scratches/smudges easily, and I don't care about water-resistance or stupid vibration to emulate a click. The 6s and SE will be the last iPhones ever made with metal rears + headphone jack. My space gray SE is the most beautiful iPhone ever made. I rank it only 4th favorite behind my G5, Pixel, and V20 and I'm hardly an iOS fan.
