I nearly bought one, then found out that Samsung Pay won't work in the UK if I import a phone from HK. Because of Sammy's regional lock.

And S8 wasn't even close, also you can remove few millions from that, many carriers and stores overestimated demand for S8 so they have lot of unsold S8 phones in their hands, no wonder everyone giving big discounts.

With S8 you even get better value for money because most stores are giving away freebies not to mention the phone itself is an advanced piece of hardware unlike the outdated iPhone 7.

The main problem in India is that Samsung Galaxy S8 Duo are priced very very high and these phones do not get any discounts even in festive seasons unlike the iPhones. More than 60% of the share is occupied by Apple in the premium market (Above Rs.40000) cz they know the proper marketing strategy and also the brand itself.

Poor iPhone 7 buyers. They paid premium for a phone that is going to be outdated in the coming months. They don't know what they're missing by sticking with generic iPhones.
