If micorosft has put the WMP 6.5 on the new hardware with 1GHZ that would have put a blast.
Moreover there is no harm in launching a new OS which has new features but the WMP7 is like iPhone OS (iPhone people are lost in thier own world) but windows is like flexible and adaptive to any mood of any person but now with WMP7 I think Microsoft wants to show it's monopoly which has lost it's prestige.
And I would also say, god bless everyone.

Why hate Windows Phone?? People talking crap about WP7 this, WP7 that Microsoft sucks??? in the end MOST OF US USES a MICROSOFT Based OS on the damn PC!

"Man""Go" doesn't Sounds good, Neverthless the taste's good. After all the hardwork by Microsoft, WM7.1 atleaset have some thing to cheer, but, the pace is not steady. Rather releasing the WP7 devices in its infancy stage, they could have opted to delay & lauch direct with 7.1. HTC HD2 was the last successful WP6.5 device. After HD2 & other similar devices success, Mobile co's could have produced few more devices running on WM6.5 with some latest hardware to keep the pace of WM6.5 rather than dropping the Windows Mobile production which made Microsoft to launch the WM7 at premature stage. Any way Best of Luck Microsoft.

Late to the game sounds bad, but what about new contender? Not so bad right?
Enjoy the tech. Strong competition brings with it, better products, and more choice. In the end, the consumer wins.

Its a pity that multitasking feature is being made great by WM7. A feature that exist way back 2005. The issue of search aint new in OS. I think WM7.1 is four years late. SoRry fellas

However the 85% of the PC market can't be wrong...or they are??
And about phones, WP6 was the best OS ever made and I'm not the one who gives that praise. A lot of places and experts confirm this.
Microsoft let this OS a side but I see they want to take back the fight..lets see..but the experts says this WP will dominate the OS market.
I'm not pretty sure but this will be interesting :D

Wow windows got multitasking WOW.....my 2004 Sony Ericsson feature phone had it...not to mention they COULD send data via bluetooth..unlike wondows.Worse OS ever..both on phones and on computers.

Xperia's, HTC, Motorolas, LGs has a lots of troubles in get their proper Updates...as many other brands has problems to get a decent updates and has opted for cooked ROMS :(
I don't belive Google stand behind all the users :(, I can't get a decent/recent update for my best friend Droid 2 Global and LG some m new models don't going to be updated to 2.3 :(
And this confirm my theory of users had to trash their phones every time Google decides to make an new update From 2.1 to 2.2/2.3? That's unfair.

No to Linux, is hard to use for the common user and they don't like use shells.
And the industry determine how good is an OS.
In destop case, Linux don't have te right tools to use it, like Autodesk, Adobe, etc. They only have creppy software that is emulated, free but without the power of the original and not capture the users interest that's why they dominate the 80% of the market.
Same to the phone OS, today's standard is Android, but some years bac the standar was from Microsoft WMP5 and 6, no doubt they can do a good OS at any time, and they have plenty time to update WP7, if they do the work right the can look at Android and improve the WP OS.
I don't doubt the can meka an excellent return to Phone OS, and who know...maybe redominate this market...
But only time will say that.

As an Android fan and user i dont think Android rules.
1. They put out an tablet this table has more crashes and laggs
then anything seen before, yet Android fans say its the best thing ever.
Ok lets talk the i word for a moment they put a tablet and i am not going to buy one and it works as smooth as butter and now their is 65,000 apps in the market for it.
I actually do believe that Microsoft have thought about their OS they sat down and looked at the two major OS and said what do we want to do. so they made a very smooth OS and then decided that one phone dosent work for everyone so lets have all different types of companies make are handsets. yes they maybe progressing slowly for people but Mango has got loads in it.
As i said i love Android but it has alot of work to do. their are to many versions and to many updates and not enough people geting them which in the future will only hurt the OS.
Your Average Joe walks into a phone store and wants to buy a phone most dont really care about Dual core or if the phone is 2.2 or 2.3 they dont want to mod the crap out their phone they just want to turn it on and use it. People by Apple not because it is the best but because a friend or someone they know uses it. Their Ads are simply because everyone knows the brand and has seen people in a line to get a phone or a tablet.
How can Google put out a beta tablet into a commercial world its total madness that you have to send your tablet back in for them to change stuff. i would rather Google spend the time and get the tablet and phone smooth as it can be than just rush out another update and another cake named version of Android.
Microsof didnt put everything thing they could into the first version of WP7 but it is buttery smooth and it works so good on Microsoft yes they have not sold many phones but i really believe that will change next year especially as Nokia will be making the handsets.
