What I hope is that my mobile provider, Telenor Serbia, will include both versions in package. Because my contract expires at the end of November, and to purchase it with renewal (company phone), while I give my wife Honor 7. Which is great by the way.

Me too. 18:9 is a bad idea.
16:9 should be maintained as long as our TV's (FHD, 4K, etc) are still 16:9.

Hope it will be a IP68 rated phone coz we haven't seen any water resistance phone from Huawei...

The same way Samsung introduce edge panel. Two version. One for people who wants normal phone, another one to test out new design language. If the demand is more on the bezel less, the normal design of Mate 10 will phase out and no longer used when Huawei start making Mate 11. Only one version for Mate 11 which will look like Mate 10 Pro. That is how I see it anyway. Take my opinion with a bucket of salt. Lol.

But if they are going onto a market with two type of phones regular and Pro, why not make it a competition vs S8/S8+ and Note 8, instead of competing with Apple (as said by CEO)?
Huawei makes great phones even their "daughter" company Honor. But, if these are in premium class, make them premium at best.

So called 'Bezeless' is good in terms of design, but how does it improve the efficiency of the gadget? Of course, thick bezels beyond certain proportions is unacceptable.
Other advantage of bezeless design is achieving a large screen on a smaller footprint, but how does it matter when desktops and / or laptops are around to help us out for tasks that require large screen?
Smartphones are meant for tasks that a person needs to do while he/ she is on move and when conventional gadgets are not along.
Bezeless is just a gimmick ,like more RAM on device. Its all about achieving efficiency and comfort of users.

This is great news for me. After nearly a decade with samsung, and last 5 years with note series, I was forced to jump to other brands as I didnt liked curved screens and all glass phones, was waiting for s8 before upgrading my note 4, but it got even worse with odd screen proportions so got mate 9 instead. And then I heard that same story will be with mate 10. But if it is only to be on mate 10 pro, Im all in on standard mate 10!

I liked it when the mate meant big-screen flagship. Calling completely different phones the same thing just seems dumb. Keep it simple: P series is 5 or 5.5", Mate is their "note" around 6" and maybe some Max version like they've done before.
And please-- put premium audio in one of these!!
