I can see some people hate Sony phones just because it is Sony.
Sony is not perfect, but far better than what they say.
I used Xperia z, Z2, Z3, And C3 all are perfect and the software is very likable.
I bid those haters didn't use Xperia flagships before. Or used one of the lower price Sony and had problems then generalised it to all Xperia phones.
Two friend used Xperia E4 and ZR, were well and good for 18-24 month, then the battery is not working properly. It will die all of a sudden despite fully charged.
However, these battery problems happened also with my Samsung galaxy grand 2012, lenovo tab 2012 and LG L9 2013.
My point is: problems can happen with any mobilephone (even note 7) just chose the phone you are comfortable with and don't hate Sony for its design or pricing (simply don't buy it)

To be honest xperia has its own design and that is good. they differ from other in the market. I like their brick design, because almoast all other has the same shape, except samsung with edge screen. But market want phones without bezels and sony will have to show the phone without bezels. So sony dont wait too long. If XZ1 will have good battery then I will buy it. I own Z2 now and I am very pleased with it. I three years usage, not a single problem.

And it is gonna switch its Nomi plant to producing OLED. Four years in the red now, really bad. I heard Foxconn would like to acquire them.

I only had the Z3 for a short while and i loved it. Its coming down to XZ1 compact and the Pixel 2. Cant wait till specs are confirmed for both devices.

I agree. I am also a big sony fan & till date has holded , Xperia ZL, Z, Z2, Z3, Z5 currently. But now really fade up with the same design & mediocre Camera performance. I dont know how XZs camera is but really praise they could repeat the camera quality i found with ZL.
I dont know why they simply can not extend the bezeless screen they already implementing in mid ranger like XA1 Ultra in their flagship.

See? Sony wont be changing their design anytime soon, they are not prepared. They are working on other design for next year. Maybe they'll be changing on something big like the integration of "Full Active' screen, dual cam (or not?), fingerprint placement?, I dont know... I just want them to be big again so i wont hesitate to buy phones from them. So keep it all together Sony! you can do it!!!
