So apparently the situation is much better than we though.
You would have thought that it had noticeably worse battery life. Bigger screen, brighter screen that is more efficient, but evens out by being bigger and brighter, smaller battery.
Then the Android/youtube tech guy gets almost 7hrs screen on time at 100% brightness including the set up and app installing. Seriously?
Over 1,200 nits brightness?
They must be throttling the software and SoC more then right?
But it scores just over 2000 in single core and 6700 in mutli.
And then beats the iPhone 7+ in a speed test.
WITCHCRAFT!......that's all the shortcomings and possible thought of throttling...not because it was an iphone. Not the first time Samsung has done that. Or others have...
And you can get it from anywhere from $150-$630 off with pre order and trade in? Plus the free goodies? So you can pay as little as $306 for it with up to $430 in included and freebie extras? For $12.75 a month?
I have my issues with it but for that kind of bargain and surprising performance with them extras.....I'm more sold than I thought I was.

Those were some bad poll options, alternatives saying you're either 100% excited or three shades of not interested.

Safety and security is important. a 3300 mah battery is ok for a 100 USD China phone, for a flagship it is not enough. Samsung should find a safe solution with 5000-6000 mah, for me it isn't a problem, when the phone is thicker.

What Sami is missing form the Equation is: True invention. When you want to [at such a price I would like to be ahead of the game. The ram is good but late. Still having the same Screen Res, which would be OK. but if they gave us a great and innovation sound system that would put it ahead, really ahead with the new 2 cams. lets hope the front cam will be better. For now I will wait for the RED phone. And by then I either go to Red or Not8 or skip to Note9

Supposed to have an on-screen fingerprint sensor (this was supposed to happen with the s8) but get the worst placement of a fp sensor for a phone thus far (which did happen with the s8...).
Note series in the past generally had an upgraded or new processor/camera as well
So yeah, a bit of a disappointment...

GSMA, you can't put "Yes, it's perfect" as a choice! You know there is nothing out there that is considered perfect, so if I like the device, but don't consider it to be perfect, I have no suitable option to choose from the answers you provided, so I've decided not to answer the survey.

Same thing as last year, Note is just the bigger S variant, but with a pen. No where near being worth $900+

$930/£870/€999 should at least have a nice fingerprint scanner. It could be better have a more powerful front and back camera, an armor like gorgeousturdy build, most importantly must have the perfect battery care!

I WAS a big Galaxy Note fan. I own the Galaxy Note, Note II, Note 3 and Note 4. I will not buy the Note8 due to its weight, it is too tall, and it is overpriced.

The same types of critiques have existed and will exist ...hope sami does not listen to you guys.

Their should be a: "Samsung who?" Or "i don't care!" Or "why would anyone buy samesung when Nokia is out?" Vote section in here. I would be probably voting for that.

How to fail with a already huge note fan base.
1. Unseemly large phone
2. Lower battery capacity than G8+
3. Priced out of the market
4. Weird dual camera and finger print bar at the back
*sigh*
