i think its about time nokia got serious and started winning back its once held position as the best cell phone producer. As HTC Samsung and Apple are bringing out 3d and hd capable, dual core handsets with OS which support so many applications here Nokia sits blubbing about 700mhz processor. Kill me or I die myself that is what Symbian is saying now

Anonymous, 27 May 2011its cheaperThat is what you think ... You can actually buy an N8 for 250-300E on eBay or similar sites ... The T7-00 will probabbly cost at least 250E when it will arrive , so why bother ? for af few $ you can get the much better version... The same was with E71 and E63, N97 and C6, and I can go on ... And if it will have 8MP Fixed-Focus camera, why not get the C7 ? Same specs, but much slimmer... I was an Nokia fan until a while ago, I would still chose C7 if it wasn't for the fixed-focus camera ...
Also, Nokia should put better specs on their phones, I've bought my new personal phone Samsung Wave S8500 for 220E and it have 1GHz processor (the same as iPhone 4), Super Amoled screen with Gorilla Glass (480x800), great Video player (plays MKV 720p with subtitles), Wi-Fi, GPS ... etc And all that for only 220E ... I've got to admit that Bada 1.2 isn't as good as Symbian in terms of usability, but it does it's job, but the interface is "best of both worlds" (ilegitimate child of iOS and Android :D )...
For the moment, I'm waiting to see what will Nokia bring on ... I'm really waiting for Nokia's WP7 phone or Meego.

You would rather Update from the N8,instead of DownGrading to the T7-00,Nokia are only using there Edof cameras because they can not produce phones as thin as the others,an no own as produce thin auto-focus cameras for them,Nokia better realise that Edof is not such a attractive idea an loads will leave Nokia again

It's not the same as the C7 - screen size larger, new version of Symbian preinstalled (Symbian "Anna" versus ^3), stereo speakers. The Astound/C7 may be cheaper but it also lacks a bunch of packaged cables and converters that the N8 has which seperately would cost as much if not more. Early days for X7 but I would presume it'll come with cables such as USB-on-the-go etc

Nokia is purposefully taking down Symbian by launching handsets which will show Symbian as a slow running software. They should have easily launched this headset with 1GHz+ processor and 1GB RAM.
The Spec designers for this phone should be fired immediately!
