Nice and slim but it sacrifices the grip and huge battery that is available on Sony's a5000 or a6000 series.

AnonD-147910, 30 Aug 2017You have absolutely no idea what you are talking about. Ser... moreYes ??? My cusin is GM at Canon and in the last 2 years their sales drops 5x compared with 2015. They are desperate, half of sales employees were fired, store closed. And all because of the mobile phones. Movie cameras ard dead, photo camera still sales for a bunch of professionals making strong money with these bricks. 80% of people you have ever seen carring around their neck the dslr bricks are just showing off, just clueless rookies, they use their dslr in full auto mode like a 50$ soap compact camera :)))) People are very ignorant and stupid. When you see perfect night pictures made with samsung s7, s8, people start to ask why must carry a 2000 $ brick with 1000 settings ????

BESIDE, many professionals starts to shoot movies with dslr cameras on steadyshot frames, because it is much cheaper than using arri alexa, panavision camera, especially in advertising clips industry. But they need 4K dslr cameras for the movies, even for short advertising clips, for cropping at edit stage or video compression. Many clips you see now were made with 4k dslr photo camera, not with a dedicated professional movie camera.

      So, No 4K, No sales.

No 4K, no sales. Period. This old farts producing photo cameras like bricks seems they still do not understand that a Samsung S7, S8 makes better photos in the dark and superb low noise videos than their obsolete DSLR bricks. Their cameras are dying. Movie cameras are already dead. If i were in their shoes, i struggle very hard to launch only 4K photo cameras, ultra zoom x50-x70, big sensors, over 30 mp, to make a real difference compared with mobile phones like Samsung S7, S8.

Sony Fanboy Bitches, 29 Aug 2017But the difference between a smartphone camera and a point-... moreThe only problem is that this isn't a point'n'shoot camera. And that it has an APS-C size sensor vs. the grainsize sensor in phones. And that you can change lenses on it (be it M mount, EOS mount, M42 mount, Pentax mount, whatever mount). And that you can put a wide 12 mm lens on it, or a 35mm, or a 85, or a 400 mm tele. And that you can close the aperture to get all the landscape in focus, or you can open it wide, to separate your girlfriend from the background Try all this with your phone.
After you tried and failed, compare the photos from your phone and from a real camera. You'll be surprised how bad your phone camera is.

This video sounded so desperate, they know they have lost the race for smartphones, also the quality of photos in video wasn't any better than you can get with your phone.

Smartphone cams are so good nowdays and also you can tweak and share your photos right away, owning other cameras is just big hazzle.

I get If you want absolutely best quality with big zoom you buy bulky DSLR, but owning other cameras just doesn't make much sense these days.

My next camera would most likely be a Sony alpha series. Definitely not Canon.
