Fact. Period.
81 hrs sounds good. Until you realize thats with only a 4.5 inch display, a 3,400mah battery and a supposedly power sipping chipset.
When its almost the same height and width and an s7 edge. But almost 2mm thicker. And has 4.5 vs 5.5 inch display and 3400 vs 3600mah. And the s7 edge gets a 92hr endurance rating.
And this costs as much as a flaghship with a 5-6inch up to QHD display and high end cpu. That still has a simsr camera and battery life.
Just because all other apsects aside it suites your needs does not change the fact of how crippled and over priced it is.

KeyOne became such a success with its defining features such as the physical keyboard and as a result......... we are releasing a phone without the physical keyboard ? ? ?
I would like to insult TCL or BB but seriously gsmarena ? ? ?
I would like to express my concern to your "content manager/ director" that those people seriously lack some kind of logic or coherence in their article making.
Or maybe just running out of content ideas..... i wanna LOL

I'm an owner of a Priv for the Last 12 months and I'm very satisfied with its overall performance and I love the retractable keyboard, all the people I know stand amazed by its design. I know it will never be updated to nougat but at least I get monthly security updates which is more than I got when I owned Sony phones.
And as for the KEYone I hope I can save some money to buy it in a few weeks.

Anonymous, 29 Aug 2017No way. I found real full keyboards way more functional.True. But the blackberry virtual keyboard is also fantastic. I used to have a Z10 back when those were a thing...and the VKB prediction and "flinging" was way better than swiping around. Of course, I don't need to do that anymore on my KeyONE...

Anonymous, 29 Aug 2017This device is more over priced and crippled than the Note8... moreNot crippled at all. fit for purpose. a physical keyboard for those of us who prefer it, a battery-sipping chip and monster battery for those of us who need the phone to work all day without plugging it into a wall, and kickass productivity software that can dial into a conference call automatically. my wife and kids (LG G6, OP3T, iPhone 6s) don't leave the house without a battery pack. I have no such worries...and I can do split screen better than any of them because the virtual keyboard doesn't take up any screen real estate...

Talking about dramatic side tracking.
The How much more the Note costs does not change how much more over priced the KeYone is. And it's supposed to be more mid range, but priced as much as flagship almost. With in some aspects less than mid range offering.
Over $500 for this? With a mid range chip and 4.5 inch 1080p? Just because it's Blackberry?
And for 9.4mm thickness you only get 3,500mah worth of battery???
149.1 x 72.4 x 9.4 mm vs S7 Edge 150.9 x 72.6 x 7.7 mm that gets 3,600mah with a 5.5 inch display and gets a 92hr rating vs 81???? And this has a decently efficient mid range chip and 4.5inch display.... While 81 technically is not bad it's attrocious given all the included details.
With a 4.5 inch 1080p display and 3,500mah battery it is only matching video playback times of devices with 2900-3,500mah batteries and 5-5.5inch 1080p and 1440p devices.
Seriously??????
And you can get devices with similar camera, battery, and those larger and higher res displays with flagship chips for the same price.
And people commenting about connection issues? Come one Blackberry? That's your idea of quality, optimization, and value?

This has to be one of them best kept secret success. I have never seen one of these phones in the wild. I have seen a few Huawei Porsche phones and those are pretty rare. But this phone never seen one anywhere.

There is no real HW difference between the S8 and the Note 8. But really these are not competitor devices except for fan boys. The BB KeyOne is a mid-market secondary device for business (I will buy one for work cuz I want something good for email and I don't want IT to access my personal device). For my personal phone I will get a Note 8 or new iPhone and become a marketing follower like everyone else :-(. I

Not a runaway success, unless they are counting returns as sales. First batch had screens popping off. TCL had CrackBerry Kevin claim it didn't exist, then in the background sent him a new phone with glue on the screen so that he could do a damage control video. Now they have added glue on all post July 15 builds, but never did a proper recall for the phones already in the wild. If you bought an original build, it's not a matter of IF, but WHEN the screen will pop out.
Now there is the antenna gate issue with the KeyOne losing signal. Crickets.
CrackBerry Kevin is a liar, CrackBerry is the official media outlet of BlackBerry mobile. TCL is lying about this phone.
Meanwhile, the TCL built DTEK 50 and DTEK 60 are missing security patches every other month. And they are less than a year old! DTEK 60 is the most expensive phone that never got Nougat. It is 10 months old from the first sale, and abandoned by BlackBerry. All efforts are focused on KeyOne now. Would you trust this company for updates and potential hardware issues in two months when the next phone is out and they are focusing their efforts on that?
This is NOT how you treat customers if you want to build your new business model on trust and security.
BlackBerry is not worth the gamble. Move on.

The last act of a desperate and dying company, shamming the gullible media into thinking that a phone no one owns is a "runaway success". They think that if they can give consumers the impression that BB's are back in style - by getting them into as many carrier stores as possible and making hyperbolic press releases that claim great sales without any sales numbers to back it up - they can fool people into trading in their iPhones or Galaxy S8's.
The fact is, I don't know a single person that owns a BB Keyone, nor have I seen anybody using one out in public. I've also not heard a single tech journalist/blogger claim one as their daily driver. You may say this is purely anecdotal evidence, but I'd argue that if a company claims a device this widely available (and affordable) is a "runaway success", I should have seen one by now at work, the bar, the mall, etc. These things are NOWHERE to be seen in the wild.
