The only way Nokia will begin to become popular is if they drop symbian and pick up a new os.

AnonD-2035, 31 May 2011Symbian never failed. It just old that all.ROFL, then according to your logic Windows Vista never failed, it's just old in comparison to what the competition is. Obviously you don't know what failing in a competitive market means do you? If you're too old and can't keep up with your competitors, you failed, nothing to argue about it. Even when looking at sales figures you see sales decline quarter over quarter.

So if this is pre silicon then their demoed dual core could also be slower than production silicon in current hardware. So maybe current Galaxy S2 is much faster than this demoed dual core...

I keep hearing numbers about how Samsung's SoC can render "X" greater number of polygons than TegraII. Yet most benchmarks I see award other chipsets as champs such as Tegra or more noteably TI's OMAP 4.

[deleted post]I'm an android fan myself but I don't think that it's insightful to claim that Nokia is over. Yes they are a struggling company losing market share every second, and their devices lag behind in almost every area except camera optics...but they may know something we don't. And those who condemn WP7 are ignorant. WP8 may just kick the crap out of everything given that it shares a kernal with Windows 8 for PC's. As markets converge, or rather are enveloped into the mobile computing/smartphone world, MS may have already positioned themselves to recapture massive amounts of market share. Especially since iOS and MacOS have a longer timeline for convergence.

So no it's not going to be in Nokia phones.

[deleted post]Okay I really have to ask, what makes the Symbian used on Japanese mobile devices superior to Symbian used by the rest of the world or are you guys just Symbian fanboys and need to make an excuse to why Symbian failed as an OS? Whats going to happen next now that Japanese mobile devices are starting to adopt Android OS are you guys going to say Symbian Afghanistan is superior to Symbian Japanese? You guys are laughable.

Zeb, 31 May 2011Samsung is working hard on a quad-core version of the Exyno... moreWRONG. Samsung's SoC is not faster than Tegra 2. Samsung's SGII were benchmarked running gingerbread 2.3 which uses EXT4 filesystem which are enhanced when compared to the 2.2 Froyo running on the Tegra2. If you looked and compared actual bench marks of any Tegra2 system running on gingerbread you would see that Tegra2 has the upper hand in 80% of the benchmarks.
