seen that a lot of people are asking how to make the galaxy tab p 1000 work as a phone. Can you help me with turning mine into a phone or not. Seen questions on this. However i don't see any answers. Also I'm trying to figure out what power is needed to charge it as well have a cable made for it but lost the power port. but own a bunch from other devices and want to find out if I can use one of them. Also does the cable change at all from model to model. I'm getting a red line on the battery when charging. Is that something I should be worried about. And what is making it do that.

My 8.9 USED to be able to make phone calls. For some paranormal reason, it suddenly stoped. I tried upgrading to ICS but it didn't help.

Same here, the voice call does not appear, and even after downloading 3rd party dialer initiating the call give a "telephony not supported on this device".
How do you get the tab to call with UI shown in the images of this article?

Hi All,
Please can you let me know the 3rd Party application that can be downloaded at the Android Market that can enable Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9 to make GSM calls with it. Just got one but feel disappointed it does not support GSM calls.

Bluff people one. Cannot make phone call lah. Now end up I have to carry another phone around to make phone call. Wonder why then dun integrate phone function in Tabs?
