scrolling: instead of obscuring the screen with your greasy thumbs the page is always visible
shortcuts: how many times do you start an app up each day? how many swipes and clicks will key shortcuts save you?
accuracy: physical keys are easier to type on, you will type longer more coherent sentences that have fewer typos, in other words you can send an intelligent email.
battery: less screen needed means longer battery time, most users report phenomenal battery life.

The battery wasn't as good as the 7+ and it was slow. I am not married to Google, so I disabled a lot of its services and background apps and just ran the BlackBerry equivalent (example: BlackBerry's calendar supports open protocols like CalDAV and their Contacts manager supports CardDAV; Google's stock apps, on the other hand are neglected and want to push you towards GMail).

If I had to choose an Android device, it would be BlackBerry for the updates and their customizations on top of Android, but it's just nowhere near the cohesiveness of iOS. A shame, BB10 was a great OS.

Bought one to replace my iphone 7. I thought the battery life would be better on the KEYone as everyone is raving on about it. I found it not to be the case... even with a minimal and clean system. Regardless of what people say about Apple, their chips are bloody well optimized.

Anonymous, 05 Sep 2017Talk about bad battery management and over pricingWait man u have asus in nick and u are sarcastic about BB? zenfone 4 with price point at 500 eur and midrange soc isnt overpriced? cmon... im pretty sure that KEYone have or will have better battery than U11,Note8,iphone7 etc... i respect your opinion but you can think just a little before you post something like this... Assuing Priv probably is fine couse of High starting price , bad battery and lot of bugs in early stages before updates fix them, but KEYone is a different story, i would call it passport with Android OS ... Also i thinking to get myself an V30 not keyone but im a little bit nostalgic when i see physical keyboard. And yes BB is kinda unique couse it offers some features that no other brand did... So for somebody it is overpriced but for bussines ppl and nostalgic persons its just a perfect phone... i preffer phones with best cameras , my friend for gaming, my mom with long battery life ... so point is... all of us like something that others dont or we need what others dont... and everyone buy phones based on his usage as a daily driver... I respect asus a lot and i build pc mostly with asus parts , i like zenfone 3 zoom ,zenfone 4pro (on paper) but every brand have some overpriced phones even xiaomi with MI Mix... Is it unique? yes. does phone have good performance? yes . good battery life? yes. Good camera for price range? no. Did i like it? no. does somebody else like it ? yes a lot of ppl i guess... in different reasons like somebody like: big screen, ceramic body. bezelles design , gaming performance, storage , camera, battery, OS itself ... everybody have their reasons to buy or not to buy

Anonymous, 05 Sep 2017Talk about bad battery management and over pricingit has better battery than almost 80% phones out in the wild with bigger screen and it's pricing might be too high but it has features that you will not see in other phones, Android, iOS or Windows

Kirk, 05 Sep 2017Can any BB KEYone users point out what other uses the hardw... moreYou can map each key to a program, and long press to start that program from the keyboard. For example, long press w to start Whatsapp. Great for launching your preferred app based on touch typing. You can scroll from the keyboard allowing you to scroll up or down a webpage without changing focus from an input field or accidentally clicking a link when you meant to scroll. Swipe left to delete a word.

BlackBerry also does away with the terrible Android rolodex app switcher, which makes their all touch phones worth looking into.

Can any BB KEYone users point out what other uses the hardware keyboard has to offer aside from being a total redundant feature on the phone?
