As usual with new features, not everyone with one of those phones is seeing this yet.

AnonD-345931, 09 Sep 2017You have no idea about 10-bit color depth, do you?I don't understand something: to have 10-bit color profile means that the display must be able to show about 1 billion colors (as opposed to 8-bit color profile where the display shows 16 million colors). Again, a display must have 10-bit color profile to be HDR-compliant, and 12-bit color-profile for Dolby vision.

But, Xperia XZP, Galaxy S8 and Note8, LG G6 and V30 all have 16 million colors. So, they don't have 10-bit color profile, right? Then, how can they be HDR-ready?

It makes no sense to me (unless I've got this all wrong).

I updated the YouTube app and checked for HDR videos on my Galaxy S8. I'll say the results are magical. Never saw such amazing display on a smartphone before this. HDR on Galaxy S8 super amoled wqhd+ is really heavenly.
