I prefer to get MI A1, because of the physical button. Never a fan of virtual button as in moto series

AnonD-146024, 10 Sep 2017Xiaomi also has included Mi Apps in A1. So, in a way Moto ... moreXiaomi Didn't include any Customizations to the Software Just some Apps the Camera App Cause stock Android Does not support Dual Cameras yet , The Mi Remote App to use the IR blaster as stock android does not have its Remote app and finally the Mi Store just these 3 apps
In the case of Motorola they have some proprietary customizations on the software like the Moto Display ,Moto Actions etc etc these are not just apps but software customizations
In Android one Google Directly updates the phones so the updates are faster just after release or a few days and you get all the security updates each and every month but in Motorola's case it takes 4-5 months just for security updates and all the ones in between are skipped
After the Lenovo took over Motorola they hardly update their phones once or twice a year

Instead of getting brands already having skins close to stock android under the android one project like Motorola and Nokia Google should try and get more and more Chinese OEMS like Meizu ,Huawei ,Oppo ,Vivo , Alcatel , ZTE Etc to Android One These OEMS have horrendous Skins and Hardly update their phones even though their hardware is good
In this way both the consumer and the brand can benefit the OEM can take care of the hardware and handover the software to google
Since Chinese hardware is cost effective the consumer can get good hardware at Reasonable price with Excellent software support from Google this will be win win situation for everyone involved

Google experimenting project treble through Android one program. They have worked with Qualcomm on vendor test suite(VTS) to separate SoC implementation from core Android architecture. First Mi A1, now Moto X4 maybe a few more in future because why not.
If this works, it could be the beginning of the end of Android fragmentation.
