Seems like Xiaomi started a major attack on the market!A1 with very good specs and stock android for 250$((Aliexpress),Mi Note 3 for 285$ with better specs and Miui,and cherry on the cake,Mi Mix 2 for 500$..and not forget excellent Mi6 for 410$..!Well,Huawei,Oppo,Vivo,Meizu and Lenovo,sorry but by the end of the year Xiaomi will be China No.1,and globally No.2,behind that korean company,can't remember the name..:)

The price is pretty decent at first till I got to see the specs. I was hoping and expecting a lot.
Cons:
LCD screen - This is a huge let down. Deal breaker.
Drop in battery capacity - No advantage over S8+ or G6.
Missing headphone jack - A negative vs S8+ or G6.
Small camera sensor - Almost the same size as the G6 or Mi 6 but they are dual camera
No storage expansion - We expected this but it would be great to have
Basically, this is a Mi6 with a bigger display and smaller bezels. They have the same battery capacity! The G6 is a better buy if one doesn't need SD835.
The only advantage I could find with Mi Mix 2 is the thinner/slimmer profile than most phones and the aluminum frame, as I don't like glass backs. However, who among us here begs for thinner phones?!
I don't understand them, are they trying to sell these to women? I don't know, most girls prefer Apple regardless of if it is new or not.

True bezelles phone.. No cutouts.. Nothing that is innovation
not weird cutouts of Ipoop( sure there will be cutouts at the top) and essential etc etc
Yet people crying about headphone jack, battery go head buy the Ipoop
All oems copied the mi mix original ( sharp aquos tried first but after mi mix all started following)

They have made a bad decision by removing the headphone jack... Looks like they have jumped on the no-headphone jack bandwagon and we will have to choose another phone.

Looks like someone pressurized Xiaomi not to go for all in. Otherwise how can all the leaks go wrong except the screen size and processor. This could have turned out be a great competitor for Samsung & LG but now, its just another big phone with a battery that wont last for even a day. Shame...

They made the top thicker for a regular speaker and the phone is narrower and smaller due to the 18:9 screen.

What does "glass is curved on all sides" mean? Does it mean that the display is curved like Galaxy S8?

Hopelessly boring. Ever since Apple did away with the sharp chiselled look a few iPhone generations ago and came up with rounded edges, almost every other phone from China has looked similar. Intentional or not. You take any Vivo, Opportunity, Huawei, ZTE and look at them from the rear they look more or less the same, give and take placement of the cameras or the fingerprint reader. And this design language is looking dated.
I was expecting for a fresh original design. Something like Pixel or Essential PH1 or Sharp Aquos or even the new Blackberry. They all look different and exciting.
This was an opportunity for Mi to come up with something new and fresh. They have blown it.
