Dafuq how is this better than my Mi Note 2? I was planning on upgrading and i don't want those bezel less gimmick. The only good thing about this is that the curved edge is gone (i think?) and camera. Other than that, slower soc, lower battery, no amoled which was present in Mi Note 2 etc. Guess i really have to wait for SD835's sequel.

Androidloveralways, 11 Sep 2017Now Xiaomi has started to increase its cost. It is no longe... morecompare to oneplus, xiaomi is still far more "bang-for-bucks". not to mention xiaomi never boast-off that they're "SMALL company" which in fact they kinda are compare to samsung or apple or oppo. but they can deliver some bezel-less phone, and even kinda start the trend for it (yes i know sharp aquos is kinda the first to introduce it, but mi mix that makes it big), where oneplus being cry-baby and use "i'm a small company" as an excuse for every goddamn thing

        Flagship turn to be Midranger

          HYPE..
          1) SoC Downgrade from 8 to 6 series
          2) Internal Downgrade from USF to eMMC
          3) Smaller battery capacity
          4) Screen size from 5.7" to 5.5"

          Pro..
          1) PRICE maintain as Note 2

Now Xiaomi has started to increase its cost. It is no longer bang on buck brand.

MrPi, 11 Sep 2017Better than the 821, it's a really good processor. Only in single core and mainly due to the core clock, it lacks in multi-core against a 821 but about all the 821 is by far better in the 3D performace due it's GPU.

                    https://www.igeekphone.com/snapdragon-660-vs-snapdragon-821-processor-which-one-is-better/

                    Adreno 512 Snapdragon 660 (MSM8976 Plus) 14nm 800 MHz, 240 Gflops
                    Adreno 530 Snapdragon 820 (MSM8996) 14nm 510~624 MHz, 407.4~498.5 Gflops

So please... in any case talk about battery efficiency not about performance.

i like it, great design and no weird aspect ratio. And SD660 still packs plenty of power, not like those low end SD 62x 63x which only have weak old A53 cores

This should has been the "Global" Mi 6. Now a mid range local phone and the "Mi Note" line downgraded. I expect that customers read well the specifications before spend money in this model.

It is a good thing that Mi sticks with the design and camera setup this year and tends to improve it unlike mi5s/plus/note2 which were totally different and always something was not quite right. SD660 is a good way to position it under MIX2, but still offering plenty of raw power.
