Where i work we have just started selling them we havent had this problem but we have had one that in the centre of the screen it will display a reddish tint when ever it displays blue and also if displaying a red screen its dark in that part of the screen . Not a good look for samsung.

Ok - I've checked this out in real life and it is HARD to spot. In most lighting conditions and with most screen brightness levels I couldn't see the effect at all...but it is there. It is certainly an imperfection but It wouldn't bother me in real life scenarios.

if this report didnt come out i think for the majority of us who have this phone who actually have a life, wont even notice the very very slight color unevenness. lol to those in the comments section who decide to not buy this phone because of that. and im not even trying to defend samsung here.

Maybe it's just light leaking from the soft keys???

this will not be a deal breaker for me as the screen issue "is most visible at the lowest brightness settings". i dont use low brightness on my sgs (1) so will will definitely not affect my decision in upgrading to sgs2. besides, i feel that using low brightness defeats the purpose of using superamoled (compromises battery life though).

Can't see it on mine, if it is there you'd really have to be fishing for it. Hardly an issue.

Got this phone on the 5th of may and i noticed that yellow tint straight away plus it had a yeallow circle ring near the bottom left hand side of the phone. Sent it back on the following day and recieved my new one but it still had the yellow tint, but there was no circle there. Samsung knew about this problem but it was to late to recall because it was so close to launch day.....!!!!

All the high end or should say most anticipated phones have controversial starting, so Samsung Galaxy S 2 is one of them.
iPhone with its antenna issue, break all the records so will Samsung Galaxy S2.

S2 is the most desired phone with best of best hardware and latest Android.

What is SAMSUNG response to this???? Some have probs others feel its ok... very hard right now to decide about this. Will have to wait for sometime as the guys from the company could provide the best of the solutions to this issue.

Well i had an S2 the very hour it came into the shop. No yellow spots here. People on here do blow things a little out of proportion!!

I noticed it on mine but its hardly visible and I had to look really hard to spot it. If it wasn't pointed out I would never have seen it. Maybe on some units its worse than others but u only notice it up close with a black background. Some LCD phones have uneven back-lighting which is far worse a problem than this and its important to not blow it out of proportion. For me its not a deal breaker and I would buy this phone over and over again its that good. Peace
