imho, the reason why we can hardly see some comments that applause with any models with standard features is that most of them were fanatics and a fond of hardware innovations or improvements in which we always see in nokia's line of phones in contrast to SE or Motorola which now focuses on further expansion of Design-intended users. that could be the reason why Nokia fans are too crowded in this site. but as a matter of fact, AFAIK motorola have never made a phone with poor construction. neither samsung or SE imho. but nokias were in another story(that's why i have changed to SE, which i haven't regret as of now) i know many nokia fans will blast me for saying that, but it's just my opinion

In fact, I have to rectify in part my last post. I agree with Kal about some aspects. Motorola really does some of the most visual-appealing devices and so on, but SE is getting also some big improvements. Recently they released newer models with more diverse build materials (such as metal and glass) than they did in a recent past. I own a W300i and a K310i, and they in fact are very well constructed for the price budget they are planned to fit in, and I like both very much. About their software, I think it`s very stable and absurdly fast for both models, and I`m sure it`s pretty same for the other models. I work at Telecom Italia,where the managers had received each one a Nokia 3250 (Previously they had the 6230i, that was their all-time favourite)and others received a Nokia 6131. Both hated their new phones absurdly. The 3250i was too fragile and clumsy, with its very slow symbian interface,that crashed much more than they could bear.In about 6 months of use, the screens of some phones faded out. The 6131 was simply also fragile (the rubber coating was peeling fastly), and the screen didn`t have the protective glass (as long as I know, this model was one of the firsts "featuring" no protection glass). All the people then is jointly fulfilling a request to Nokia to exchange all their phones for better models.I like Nokia very much, but the "no protective glass"for such a big screen flip phone episode got me worried.

oh no, not another razor. worst phones ever made. unreliable and hard to use. waste of time getting this phone cuz you will b back to the shop with it

Motorola has not changed for a long time.
RAZR's shape is always similar to old models.
Whenever I saw the MOTO Phone, I thought that this phone must be MOTO phone.

hmmm seems Lg's "Wine Phone" Cyon SV300 looks pretty much same from outside, which they have annouched on 21st may, a few days later. Interesting.

I really didn't like the v3, the software on it was less than par, and I just didnt like the look. These seem to be much nicer looking, and look to be of a higher quality. As of the comment that noone else in the industry can touch these for build quality, that's horrible inaccurate, SE makes great phones (w580i for example). Also SE would have to take the cake on functionality as well as quality of software. Although I can agree with you on the Nokia part, they're build quality is horrible, and they're software needs a huge overhaul, even in they're newest phones.

I have to agree with a lot of the general comments here, a lot of messages have been put up by Nokia fanboys who don't know anything about mobile phones, or the markets that Motorola aim for. Same goes for the ratings. It's strange, I would have thought it would be 'cooler' to be different from the crowd and not be a Nokia fan!
I'm a Sony Ericsson fan, and I have hated previous versions of the RAZR (though the V3im wasn't bad, except for the software), but these look a lot better. As long as they can find a way to improve the battery life and ensure you can save directly to the memory card (a problem some Nokias also have!), then it'd be a worthy contender for 'must-have' phone status. Still won't catch me using one, I don't like the interface, but the styling makes a huge difference, and as long as the phone avoids the pitfalls of previous models, it'll be a hit.
To all the people who just want to shout about the n95 et al, please go find a Nokia forum and get educated. The people who know about that brand know that Motorola are a worthy adversary ;-)

I personally don't like motophones, but I have to admit there are no others in the market that can beat their style and build quality. Really, Nokias could be A LOT better than they are these days (they are too fragile!).

Hey people... here's the facts: do you want fashion and a great design to be built in your phone? Go to Moto.There is no other one, either SE and Nokia don't get even close to this giant. But be aware that you won't get the best functionality, camera or mp3 player on the market. Everything comes at a cost.
But if you want functionality, go to SE and Nokia. I would say that SEs get a lil' bit more looks than the Nokias. I think that Samsung is the more balanced brand, once their phones holds style and good functionality (but the mp3 player battery sucks!). Thanks

Sony Ericsson is crap, Nokias are just not as good as they once were. Samsung, the one. Motorola, the leaders, Undisputed, in innovation!!!

The razr was & quite possibly is still the most innovative mobile phone in this era! If it aint broke, dont fix it, If it sells, sell it! Sex sells, for generations, I dnt hear any of U complainin bout th@. If Moto can get away with Updating a prod. & moving it, Just Do It! I'm not a Moto person though I have one & I love it dearly. This phone (V360) has made me considering getting one of those, the V8/9, I'd like it in silver!

they sold that many because they give them on low plans but compared to sonyericsson and nokia they still behind ..
