Motorola RAZR takes a fresh breath with V8 and V9

screen is not sencetive, it's just like v6 maxx, only area with digital buttons is sencetive. All in all, external screen is a record, but its functionality is low, nokia external screens have better functionality, tho worse in quality, I'm talking of such phones as N76 and 6290.
Internal screen I agree is small.
What the price will be? Nokia N76 costs now about 400 euro and has similar functionality, and better screen, music management, 3,5 mm standart jack, radio, symbian. What do you think of it? If moto will be costlier, N76 will cut its sales down.

I am a nokia fan, but after I saw the specs of these 2 phones, even I am impressed. Lot's of connectivity, multimedia and let's not forget "keys come with a clever feedback (haptics) technology". Great mobiles that could make me into a motorola guy, but still, waiting for iphone era. Where after my opinion, if it will get famous and sell, all the phones will change into something like that ex: Samsung F700 - smaller than 6233, more options than iPhone still not as fashionable/thin as V9. Anyway first motorola that looks great to me: with ARM11, OS, HSDPA,A2DP, and touch sensitive all in 13mm.
And for the persons that like more MP in their mobile phone, I am a proud CANON with 10MP camera user, and have it on 2MP, coz 1600x1200 is more than I need for photos with friends.

Wow - they managed to stretch out the KRZR to make this jumble of a mess. Please Moto ~ go back to the drawing board on this one... it's time for originality, not for some half-hearted rehashes of the same and tired concepts.

Hey, to the Excessive Personality Adorer of Nokia. You get what about Motorola ? Motorola is number one and Nokia is number bad. why ?
Nokia : the covers are always plastic, the design is always bricks, bricks, bricks (big, thick, crude), symbian os always runs slow, slow, slow and complicated. More disaponited for Nokia.
But why Nokia is first in rank board. Why ?

i have to say these new models are quite impressive for a slim factor. The screens look good and the touch sensitivness is a good addon. im no moto fan but these look impressive. looks like motorolas raising the bar.

It's nice for new RAZR2, why all high end moto phone don't have Radio like Nokia and SonyErison???????

This last comment forgot to mention that the V8 comes with 420 MB on board memory or the 2 GB, this against 70MB from the U300 I don´t want to hurt fans from Samsung but the problem is that the people from Samsung and Nokia are all the time insulting the fans from moto I guess is time to stop this...

The design from motorola is unique, materials and finish are unique, U300 is far away from this except for the 3megapixel camera, I respect Samsung somehow, but who started the slim fever it was moto, so I guess more words would be a waste of time for me and the other people... just something else if you are comparing u300 with this remember 11,9mm (V8) against 9,6mm (U300), moto included a large I would say huge external display and it´s touchscreen, that´s it I guess is enough

420Mb in a slim phone is quite big already, whats more if we have 2Gb on it? great memory capacity but it should be noted that the phone must have lots of customization features to utilize the whole memory stuff. with regards to V9 same thing, samsung has lots of models to offer with slim profiles too and higher resolution cameras etc. V9 should use UIQ 3.1 platform as Z8 does but anyway JUIX is already there. btw it's just an opinion:D

Samsung U300 has a monochrome EXTERNAL display. These have a 2 inch 262k color EXTERNAL diplay and a 262 color 2,2 inch INTERNAL display. U300 only has 70 mb onboard memory and that is it. Only thing it has going for it is a 3megapixel camera. Yea! go Samsung, not bad phones , better than Nokia but saying a U300 is better than this is like saying a Kia is better than a BMW.

2 inch screen is way too small on such a wide and tall clamshell
Samsung U300 is better than this moto crap, it is thinner (9,9 mm), also made of metal, but has bigger screen and not to mention 3,2 megapixel camera.
Moto is late as always. U300 is better and cheaper.

This phone has external touch-sensitive music keys, plus high-quality MPEG 4 video capture and playback and speaker independent voice dialing. The touch sensitive keys are in fact part of the external display which means that part of it is in fact touch sensitive. Furthermore the keys come with a clever feedback (haptics) technology. The handset produces slight vibrations every time the touch-sensitive key is pressed. The phone is powered by an ARM 11 processor which makes them faster than any of the previous RAZR models.

I must say that this phone looks fantastic!With arm 11 processor-should be responsive and wery quick (as is v3xx),and with the superb design it is best choice!-moto rocks!!!

The screen on both of them is wayyyy to small, and the music nav buttons on the cover look digital???there actually buttons right, they look funny

I am usually v.v.strongly dislike moto's for the sole reason the interface is frankly shoddy and frustrating and primitive compared to the bright SE/Nokias.
However, this new V8 with linux 2gb is looking very appealing. My upcoming choice of an LG prada is not looking so certain anymore.
